Congrats to Macon, VWC and CNU for making the tourney.  3 Teams in a 120 mile radius isn't too bad.  Hopefully, unless matched up against each other, they all can make good runs.
Go Marlins!!!

Congratulations to VWC and RMC from the ODAC as well as CNU and Greensboro from the USASAC.   Hope you all have good runs!

hasanova ... Greensboro didn't make the playoffs; only CNU from the USA South.

I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the following teams at Virginia Beach on Friday night:  Maryville (TN), Messiah, RMC, CNU, Catholic.

cnufan

RMC gets Wooster at Transylvania.

CNU is at Lincoln for a rematch and VWC gets the winner of the Ursinus/Farmingale game.

You are just too quick, algernon.  lol  I had already corrected my post.  I had remembered seeing something about the Pride, but realized after I posted it was the women's team.  It was so difficult to get in d3hoops.com this morning, it took me a while to get back to it to make a correction.  Thanks.

Wow, VWC with a first round bye! I wasn't expecting them to get it, not that I don't think they deserve it though!

That's pretty funny, hasanova.

Virginia Wesleyan has a nice bracket for getting to the Sweet Sixteen, with only one win needed over Ursinus or SUNY-Farmingdale.  (I'm betting on Ursinus.)

On the other hand, RMC has a helluva bracket.  Isn't Transylvania in Tennessee?  Or where is it?  RMC couldn't be paired up against anyone much tougher than #3 Wooster.  I'm not sure why this bracket is not being played at Wooster, a team that would seem like it should be seeded higher than Transylvania.  If the Yellow Jackets can beat Wooster, then they may end up going to a sectional at some place like #6 Wittenberg or #2 Hope.

Anyone have any info on Ursinus or Farmingdale?  I took a look at both schools Roster/Stats and looks like both are guard driven.  Also, doesn't look like either one played a really tough schedule.

Neither or these teams recieved any top 25 votes.  What does this all mean???

I couldn't tell from the bracket, is VWC hosting more than one game?  Who will be going to the beach?

Transylvania is in Lexington, KY, I believe.  Wooster is a very hard draw.

The 2,3,6,10 ranked teams in one region.  And none of them have a bye.

Something is lopsided about these regions.

I'd be pissed if I was Wooster.   First they don't have a BYE and second they have to play a ranked team in the first round at a neutral site.  And if they win another ranked team on their home court.
That is if i understand these brackets correctly

Is anyone else getting the same impression?

Just checked.  Transylvania is in Lexington, KY.  Mapquest.com has it at 494 miles from Ashland, just within the NCAA 500 mile limit to avoid flying the Yellow Jackets.

Virginia Wesleyan will host the winner of the Ursinus / SUNY Farmingdale game.  If they win on Saturday, I would think that they will certainly host the sectional on March 10-11, given that they are the only team in their section that has been found worthy of a first-round bye.

Yep, it's in Lexington, KY.  RMC is going to see a lot of I-64!  Good luck, Jackets - and Marlins!

Algernon. Thanks for the vote of confidence for VWC. Fact. IF VWC does beat Algernon's prediction and wins...it will host tourney March 10-11ith or all the way to the finals in Salem. I'm rooting for Both Macon and VWC...Rhodes has a tough road to hoe, but I believe he is capable of beating Wooster, especially if he plays like he did in ODAC finals. OLDFISH made a good point...both Ursinus & Famingdale were quiet all year in polls  etc. Without underrating either, I'm sure Coach Macedo will do his homework and find a way to win. GOOD LUCK ODAC.
