I hear the Gennies have another kid from Chatham, NJ; the brother of a current team member; a  quick guard and another forward or 2. Sketchy on details, I know - when I know more I'll post it.
If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

Good luck, Genaro.  Sorry to hear you won't be playing this season.

Looks like W&L is building a Chatham pipeline, thanks for the update by the way.

Anybody know anything about the VWC recruits listed up front?  I tried to do a lettle research on them but didnt find much.

Oldfish - Looks like Coach Macedo is going for height this year: Chris Battaglia is 6' 7"; Steven Coy is 6'10", TJ Williams is 6'4." I don't know anything about Stephen Fields. Tim Weyant is a guard. Also coming over from Nansemond River is 6'3" giard Sean Debblay.

JDUB-

Any word on these guys besides height?  Or are we keeping that secret til next year.

Any idea how VWC's recruiting class stacks up against the rest of the ODAC?

Hmm, I would figure it will be top of the class. I would think winning a national championship would bring some good ones!

Actually, most coaches say you don't see the best results of a national title until the following year, because of the timing.

Guilford got a bit of a coup recruiting Justin Strickland out of East Davidson (NC) HS, which is in a nearby county.  He's a guard who scored something like 2300+ points in his high school career.  At 6'1" or so, I guess he wasn't heavily recruited by DI, but he did draw interest from High Point (DI). Pfeiffer (DII) and others.  Sounds as though he liked the school and his prospects for playing time with the Quakers.  I hope he has a great career!

Ah, good point. Could still help get those recruits that are torn between VWC and some other school(s) that hadn't decided befopre the championship run.

Oldfish - Information out of VWC is hard to get. No big releases yet. I'm thinking we should expect a major announcement soon on the new recruits.

Although the Basketball team didn't have much success on the court this year, they had plenty of success in the classroom.  The combined team GPA (players only) was 3.03 for the year.

Six players were on the Dean's list (3.5 GPA or better):
Andy Albright
Wright Barksdale
Evan Fancourt
Ramon Goings
Justin Sullivan
Jonathan Wright

Four players were honorable mention deans list (3.0-3.49):
Brian Marciniak
Pat Prior
Andrew Suarez
Matt Sweeney

Dear Vlade (G):
Rats!  I had so looked forward to seeing you on the floor.

I don't see how you can go wrong in life by following your heart, though.  Especially when you listen well and deeply.

May the longtime sun shine upon you
All love surround you
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on.

I wish you all the best and a great senior year.

Hey Sludge, good to hear from you.  Hope you're having a great summer.  I've heard Guilford has commitments from Justin Strickland, Brandon Johnson and Sherrick Warren.  Have you heard Ben mention anyone else?
