Huntingdon College at Emory & Henry
The Wasps were slow getting going, but they've had enough time to warm up.

Ferrum at Hampden-Sydney
The Panthers might make a game of it, but they are playing at Fleet.

Oberlin at Washington & Lee
My alma mater will prove its academic superiority by losing once again. ;)

Monday, November 27
Eastern Mennonite at Ferrum
I tossed a coin and it came up Royals.

Virginia Wesleyan at Averett
I don't think this will be an easy game for the Marlins.  However, they'll have to lose at least once before I start picking against Macedo, Inc.

Bonus Picks:
Maryville (TN) at Emory
Lambert & Co. are a winning machine.

Ursinus at Lebanon Valley
Warren Thompson wrote in an email, "The Flying Dutchmen might have a good shot..."   With that ringing endorsement, I'll take LVC (and 10 points).

Looks like we are going to have two undefeated teams playing Wednesday night in Greensboro.  I can't recall the last time both teams were undefeated in this cross town "rivalary"

sludge

Predicton:  VWC by 2 over Averett.  Why would I pick anything else?  ;)

Prediction:  Guilford over Greensboro College.
Scenario 1:  Guilford starters have the4 edge, followed by Guilford bench with the edge.  Greensboro helps out on defense.  4 Guilford players score in double figures. Guilford by 10.
Scenario 2:  Greensboro plays straight man or zone, doesn't help out.  3 Guilford players in double figures.  Guilford by 10.
Scenario 3:  Guilford defense looks odd, coach goes ballistic.  Team eventually gets message.  Guilford by 5.

Please note - Guilford is officially the "home" team versus Greensboro on Wednesday night, but the game will actually be played at the neutral Greensboro Coliseum.  I still think the Quakers will be favored.  :)

Hey, Pride.  Yeah, I looked for Greensboro's score this morning to see if they beat Newport News Apprentice.  Congratulations on being 3-0!  Guilford is officially 2-0, but unofficially 3-0 since they beat Elon 62-56 in an exhibition game.  As you said, it's probably been a while since both were undefeated.  I can't speak for Greensboro, but I know Guilford usually lost their first game many years when they played a Division I team (East Tennessee, UNCG, Elon) to start the season.  Hopefully, this will be a great game and I plan to be there.  Personally, I wish the schools would quit playing this intracity game at the Coliseum and start doing home and away in Ragan-Brown and Hanes.  :)

although I am not 100% sure, but i think part of it is they give tickets away to kids of Greensboro.  Maybe part of Greensboro Colleges Village 401 program.  I know they just give tickets away to students.  I think its about time though they played this game after Thanksgiving, most people couldn't show up to the games.

I'll give a more detailed report of the games by Guilford and Roanoke later.
Mr. Loesel - I was looking for that "more detailed report," but don't think I ever saw it.  Any observations on the Maroons and the Quakers after seeing the tournament in Salem?  Thanks
