How appropriate, a "cage" match.  lol  I agree, I think it is the first "big" ODAC game of the season.  As I look ahead, I see many more - inlcuding January 27 in Greensboro!  Hope that trip works out.

Too early to tell what R-M will do this year.  Thus far, our ODAC schedule is going well, so I have no cause to complain. 

I have high hopes we'll still only have one loss coming into Guilford on January 27th.

I understand.  It's way too early for me to say what GC's record will be on January 27, but so far, so good.    Wednesday night in Fleet will be a big litmus test.  I think Guilford is very good this year, but that's a tough hurdle for all visiting teams, especially ODAC foes.  We'll see.  Go Quakers!

I see your point exactly.  I've also been thinking for several weeks that the top teams in the league, including Guilford, may very well split with each other.  The conference champ, then, may boil down to who wins both games with a good opponent(s) - or - avoids an upset to a team(s) they're favored to best.  PS  The last time I went to a movie a few weeks ago, I went to a matinee and it was still $4.75.  lol

General opinion is Guilford wins a close one. Forgetabout that darn game last year.

I think there is a good coach in Lexington.  I know for certain that he has a good eye for talent, and I think its starting to pay off.

Can't help ya on the age thing, its going around.

I can't believe that W&L is picked to beat EMU by everyone but two persons.  W&L has been at the bottom of the ODAC for as long as I have been around.  While EMU hasn't been winning ODAC championships, since Coach Dean has arrived on campus EMU has been very competitive.

Two thoughts about picking W&L over EMU

1. EMU still has Sager and Parkes

2.  Even though EMU is extremely young, they have been in every game including a two point lose to Shenandoah and a 8 pt lose to Greensboro.

well...my first major "D'oh"  of the pick'ems and certainly not my last (as most of you well know  . I missed and1wasp's picks and did not include them in the totals. he/she (hey I'm not sure!!!) did indeed send his/hers picks in and finished the week at 13-2. and1wasp currently resides in a 9th place tie with jimmy and yours truly at 23-10 for the year.
