I didn't have a problem with the jabs. I just think the Belt thing is a little silly and I'm not afraid to say so.
It is a little six degrees of Kevin Baconish.  But I found it humorous, nonetheless. ;D
"six degrees of Kevin Baconish"  Well said, jacketlawyer, well said.  lol  :)

There once was a lawyer from Macon
Whose clout kept his rivals a shakin'.
I once saw him yell, "Fine!
If my client's a swine,
He pleads guilty to sixth degree Bacon!"

Yeah STH has been keeping me informed about Freshman stats. It was quite a debate as to who would be FOY. Quite frankly, I think all the ODAC Freshman have "hit the wall" since they play a more intense and long schedule. FOY is still up in the air as far as I'm concerned. Dom Trawick could still be overtaken if one of the non injured guys step up in the final weeks of the season.

As someone else said earlier, it seems like a somewhat useless exercise

As the individual who presented the concept of the D-III Championship BeltTM to Posting Up I take deep exception to this comment.  This is not a "somewhat useless exercise."  It is a wholly, thoroughly and  COMPLETELY useless exercise.

I would invite anyone who wants to read the board, but I cannot be held responsible for the loss of I.Q. points or the wasted minutes of individuals' lives.
"That seems silly and pointless..." - Hoops Fan

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Well then, now that you've added some clarity, you have my complete (and useless) support!  :)

I wonder who is Kevin Baconish.  ;D

Wow, all that stirred up with one simple post about a belt.  Just imagine all the trouble JustBill has stirred up on all boards combined!

I hope Guilford doesn't underestimate Bridgewater as a threat.  Road games are always dangerous.  The team that brings the effort wins.

STH is making his presence felt on the baseball boards.

What is the reason for his disappearance?  Was it a lost bet or something?

Actually, STH has a position with an ODAC men's basketball team and his Head Coach probably asked everyone closely affiliated with the team to not post on the backetball boards until after their campaign is over.  In fact, I met him and said hello when his team came to Greensboro this season.  He'll be back.  :)

Sludge, I don't think they'll underestimate BC.  I know they sweated out a close call at W&L and also remember the narrow come-from-behind victory over BC in Greensboro.  Anything can happen, of course, but I think Guilford will go to BC and EMU ready to give two great efforts.

yeah, thats probably true. when i was on staff for coach macedo, i was told not to post on d3hoops during the season.  But since i'm no longer the team manager for vwc (just a faithful fan and alumnus) I thought i'd start posting again. Look forward to talking odac basketball with you all. I'll be at the macon/vwc game today. anyone else gonna be there?

I'm 99.9% sure this is why STH has not been posting on the basketball boards, but he's out there.  lol  As for me, I'll be listening to the GC at BC game today.  Welcome aboard, matty, since you literally and figuratively decided to throw in the towel at VWC.  :)  I hope we have some great ODAC games today!

Hasn't he always had a managers position with LC?  Why is it different this year than in years past?

Yes.  Maybe Swickrath changed the rules this season.
