Thanks for the number crunching, Algernon and go generals04!!  Glad there aren't just English majors like myself that read and contribute to these boards! ;)

I see nothing wrong with being an English major! BA, 1970, Hillsdale College

That gets ya a karma point.

Personally, I still think an English major (and some others) should receive a BS degree! ;D

BH - I agree. Who else would do his senior thesis on T. S. Eliot? Titled "The Religious Development of T.S. Eliot as Seen in the Wasteland to Ash Wednesday." What was I smokin' back then?

If W&L (6-12) and Bridgewater (6-12) tie for 7th: Bridgewater

I have to believe that your sobriquet means  you and I are the only Generals fans on the board (good wishes to Denbow's roomie; wherever he is).

The 4 & 5 slots mean nothing. There is a big difference between 7 & 8.

I have no idea what the tie breakers are: that being said if B'water beats W&L Saturday night then they are tied. The only league difference is that W&L beat E&H and B'water beat HSC. So why would B'water be 7th?

I believe BC wins the tiebreaker because they are 3-9 against the top six teams in the conference, while W&L is only 1-11 against the top six.

BC has wins against No. 3 E&H, No. 5 H-SC, and No. 6 R-MC.  W&L only has a win against No. 3 E&H.

Denbow's Roomie is watching and waiting as always.

And hoping for a huge Gennies run in the ODAC tourney

IMHO that doesn't balance out with losing to EMU & Lynchburg. Which with $.50 might get you an ARaSee.

BC and W&L will have beaten the same teams (E&H, LC, and EMU) plus each other, plus:

BC has wins against No. 3-6 H-SC, and No. 3-6 R-MC.

W&L has a second win against No. 9-10 Lynchburg and No 9-10 EMU.

BC gets more points for HSC and RMC than W&L gets for LYnchburg and EMU.

The system's set up so that a win over a top team means a lot, whereas a loss against a bottom team doesn't lose you that much.

Nah.  I'm a Generals fan, when they're not playing Guilford.  ;)

Hi, has, I'm doing much better.  20 games! Who would've figured? Hope you enjoyed the game - nice to see the shooting touch, hey?  We'll need it.
With a little bit of luck, I'll make it over to E&H on Saturday.

Best wishes.

It's now been corrrected, but I only have one thing to say to Cleopatra, the Phoenix and any other "Queens of de Nile":  We kicked your "asp"!  :)

All kidding aside (well, almost all kidding aside), the ODAC is very "strong" this year, but I think the Quakers can finish higher than the unanimous 4th they were tabbed in the preseason coaches poll.  Don't be surprised to see Guilford get some Top 25 votes this year.
sludge, check out my post on Nov. 5.  :)  Snipes was "en fuego" last night.  When he and Strong combine for 50, the Quakers will be tough.  I'm glad you're feeling better - have a safe trip to Emory.   I'll have to settle for the internet broadcast this weekend, but hope to be in Salem next weekend.

Jacketlawyer - Have you noticed that when we start to get all academic on these guys, they revert back to talking about basketball? Especially that Hasanova.  And, Algernon's computations are giving me a headache. These guys must be engineers and scientists! ;D
