People really make fun of Ton Ton's name at games? ??? College aged / adult people? ??? That's revolting. It is not okay to make fun of a name just because it comes from a culture other than your own.... whoever does that should be ashamed. We all joke about the number of Dutch last names on the Hope and Calvin team... but that's a playful jab at the fact that they are ALL Dutch.... not the fact that they are DUTCH. Unbelievable... especially due to fact that college people are supposed to be educated and relatively thoughtful and socially progresive. :(

The best thing Ton Ton can do is drill a couple of treys and that should take care of the problem.  ;D

Hi Airborne, nice to see you here.  And especially nice to see njlincolnlion.

Lion, do you expect a track meet type of game?

sludge

Airborne, if you are miffed at the site selection, I understand completely.

With all the talk about MC/VWC, it seems like Lincoln/Guilford is getting lost  ;D .  I think the Lions/Quakers game may turn into a track meet to see who's first across the finish line.

The expectation of the MC / VWC game is so high but who knows, the GC / Lincoln game turn out to be the better of the two. Hard to tell. GO QUAKERS....GO MARLINS...Let's ensure that an ODAC team gets to Salem.  8)

The only way to completely level the playing field is to play at a neutral site. Not likley to happen any time soon I don't think.  8)

Since both teams score in the 90's, it should be a very entertaining high scoring game.  The game may come down to attrition, and I hope Lincoln's deep bench pays off.

Must be that VWC education.

If you're trying to get noticed, you're doing a good job. Then again if you drop your pants in a crowd you will get some attention. Please remind me, what diploma mill did you graduate from and how does that qualify you to take shots at VW?
Jeez, how many times must I apologize for this comment? And if I must respond  to the insulting question you pose about the "diploma mill" I graduated from, let me just say that it was one with exponentially higher academic standards than VWC.
WHY?  ???
I will throw out a cheep shot just like everyone on this site, but you have to drop it.
Just to speed the process up:

MC WILL WIN                                                      VWC WILL WIN
I am smarter than you                                               You're stupid
I am pretty/You are ugly                                     you are ugly/I am pretty

Nobody can beat the 2000 McMurry team
Nobody can beat the 2000 McMurry team
Nobody can beat the 2000 McMurry team, except playing before 4500 almost exclusively Calvin fans in Holland, MI!   :-\
YADA YADA YADA now it is over.  The game is going to be great.  MC has a great team, as does VWC.  I think the crowd will play a big factor, but these MC boys are ready.  This will probally be the best game of the tournament.  Good luck to both teams, I can't wait to get there.

:D :D :D :D :D ;D 8)

I am glad that you are a quick learner, balls...
And do you forget it!  :D

I would love for the Choctaws to break on thru this year!  Go Choctaws!  Go ASC! :)

hasanova:

I just hope Lincoln has the depth to handle Ben Strong.  The Quakers are familiar with the Batten Center, being in the ODAC.  Lincoln's only game there was last's years sweet sixteen one point loss at the hands of Balenga.

Unfortanately, I can't make it down and will be listening as I did last year hoping for different results   :) .

Go Lions!

If Strong is your only problem, you'll do fine; I don't think that'll be the case, though.

Enjoy the broadcast, though I hope not too much.

Based on our familiarity with Batten, I wouldn't rate that as a Quaker advantage!

VWC had a remarkable run through the ODAC and NCAA tournaments last year, winning game after game by narrow margins.  Remarkable.

Whoever survives this regional will surely be battle tested.

I see that Sr. guard Snipes (All ODAC) was also a huge part of the Quakers success this year along with some experienced players.  How deep is Guilford's bench?

Go Lions!     Go Independents!   ;D

Actually, the best thing that could happen is that everyone would just stop...  :-\ but I'm sure lighting the place up helps silence the hecklers a whole bunch! ;)

Balls a dunkin.... very nice. Kudos to you!

kudos are great, but how 'bout a few karma points.  from what i hear we will need them at VWC ;) ;)

diehardfan

:D Some people smite people that ask for karma, but I am a sucker for shameless begging. :P ;)

Let me preface my next statement by the fact that I would enjoy seeing any of these teams in Salem, and I am definitely not picking sides. But with that said...

How cool would it be if Guilford gets to the Final Four, and Jordan Snipes makes a cross court heave at the buzzer to win it all on semi-national television??!?!! :o

Just saying. ;)

Isn't Lincoln really good at track? :)

David:

All 16 of Lincoln's NCAA Championships are from the Track & Field programs   :) .  As a matter of fact Head Track Coach Cyrus Jones, the Associate AD has given Coach Yulle some conditioning drills for the Basketball team  ;) .
