All I will say is that it will be a good game.  I refuse to put foot in mouth trying to predict the winner of the game (a lesson learned from an ASC poster earlier this week).

:P

Say, where is that poster? ???

I miss that guy. ;) ;D

Airborne was actually pretty good about showing up for some good natured kidding, but I bet he's still finishing off a big helping of crow and humble pie.  It takes a while to digest a meal such as that!  :)

I  predict that the Marlins will defeat Washington U.  I don't know if Washington U is a better team or not but I believe the Marlins will move on to the National championship game.  They simply refuse to lose.   They battled and earned their way to the Final Four and I don't think they are ready to go home yet.  As I have stated before, sometimes intangibles win games and the Marlins have those intangibles.  To Brandon, Ton, Tyler,Thomas,Terrell, D'Juan, Steven, Norman, and ALL the Marlins...Play your game , believe in yourself and your team and you will win.   Go Marlins!!  Back to Back for the Fish!!

Congratulations to everyone from the ODAC on the South All-Region team!  I know I saw Coach Tom Palombo (COY), Ben Strong (POY) and Jordan Snipes (2nd Team) from Guilford and Brandon Adair (1st Team) and TonTon Balenga (3rd Team) from VWC.

Cool!  Congratulations to the fine players, and to ODAC for the fine representation on the South region teams!

sludge, I know you and muckraker have some great memories from NCAA tournament play the past two weekends.  Hopefully, the Quakers will get another shot next year!

Some observations:

1. FISHTANKFAN - scary when you make predictions. Always makes me a little nervous. Kind of like a curse, if you know what I mean. I just hope your feeling is overwhelming and that your prediction comes true ;)
2. Ton Ton Balenga - while it appears that Ton Ton may be disrespectful of other players I don't think he's ever talked back to a referee that resulted in a technical. Still, that doesn't excuse him from his comments to other players. I'm wondering if he would admit, by his standards, that he's not having a particularly good year. Call it what you will, junioritis, etc. but it seems to strike players in their 3rd year. Can anyone explain it.
3. Balanced attack - does anyone know of any other team that has such a balanced attack as the Marlins on offense and defense? Just seems to me that they are real solid both ways. I wish them well this weekend.

Good luck to the Marlins this weekend.  Also does anyone know if they are having the senior all-star game this year like last year.  If so, who is representing the ODAC?

algernon

My prediction is that Virginia Wesleyan will defeat Wooster in the national championship game.

My prediction has a 12.5% (1 out of 8 ) chance of being right simply by chance ..... so why not put it out there?  Then, if my prediction comes true, I can crow about my guru-ness!   ;D

1.  Yeah, scary.
2. Re: Ton Ton, maybe we should give him a break.  I think he plays point have I got that part right (not sure)?  If so, he's the starting point guard on a final four team.  That's not too bad of a year!  As for junioritis, it doesn't seem to strike everybody; some Guilford juniors pulled through well.
3. No.  Washington U. sounds balanced, but my bet is no.

Curious fact:  Guilford was 10-0 outside of the ODAC this year.  If not for you annoying ODAC teams,  they'd be in great shape!

jdubyadubya

Yes, no doubt about it, Guilford had a "Strong" team this year! ;D

Is anyone else involved in the free D3 Hoops Pick'em?  I did it out of chance to see what would happen.  I am not very into the national scene, infact I don't know much outside of the ODAC.  However, I have a shot to win the thing (in the top 10).

Somehow I picked VWC, Amherst and Wooster to go to the Final 4.  I think the guy in the lead picked  Washington U to win it all.  In theory, if VWC finds a way to beat WU...I might have a National Pick'em award....

That is why the ODAC should be a Power Conference....our Pick'ems!!!

The Senior All-Star games are at 1 p.m. (women) and 3 p.m. (men) on Sunday, March 18, at Roanoke College's Bast Center.  I know Palombo is coaching the men and GC's Burge and Snipes will play.   D. Graham will represent Guilford for the women's team.  I didn't see any information on the ODAC site, but I posted this link with details and rosters from Guilford's website.

What do you say, by chance, if it's in the  87.5% (which assumes, by the way, that each of the four teams has a 50% chance of winning any given game) that equals your potential "unguru-ness"?  lol
