STH> I heard VWC got him instead. Just kidding! ;D

Congratulations to Joann Renn, new interim AD at VWC replacing Sonny Travis, who is Emory bound. Joann was asst. AD and formerly women's basketball and tennis coach.

I'm curious about something...at what point does a great athlete lose sight of the gifts he has been given and become influenced by external negative factors? What motivates that athlete to move in that negative direction? Can that same athlete successfully redeem himself or is he forever damaged by those external influences?

Must be a miss print. It has been 25 plus years since I've heard of any talks of R-MC being a party school. I really don't understand that one but I hope it's true for the students sake !!!!

We pretty much rolled in the '80s, but my take on this topic now is that we pretty much aren't! ;D

Like to hear what parents of prospective RMC students have to say about this knowing what kind of depravity goes along with being a top party school.

Of course, Guilford made the top lists as well under Best Campus Radio Stations, Is it Food? and (cough) Reefer Madness.   :o

Well in Mr. Vick's case a sincere act of contrition would be a nice start. Maybe some great athletes have always been negative. We read about and watch these people but we don't really know them. I do believe that some very gifted athletes only think in "terms of  me". They never pause to think how blessed they are and they let their hedonistic side take over. So keep your school off the party list.

The athlete can redeem himself.  That possibility is always available, as long as one is alive.

I still think it's a flawed statistic.  Little DIII R-MC is up there with all those DI schools?  The only DIII school.  Like to know how they compiled their data. ???

Not that I'm completely complaining.  Many of the schools on the posted list also happen to be excellent schools academically. 8)

I question a list of party schools that doesn't include the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
