Is there any truth to the rumor that David Carlson will not be playing basketball for the Yellow Jackets this year.
I hope that is not true. Where did you hear that at?

I know nothing about it.  Anything I'd say would be pure speculation, so can't do that either.

But Algernon's smarter than I am! 8)  He keeps tabs on these things, so difficult to say either way.

Jacketlawyer .... I wish that I actually knew something about this, but I really don't.

A fan and very close follower of the HSC basketball team who picks up a lot of information here and there asked me whether I'd heard that David Carlton might not be back for the Yellow Jackets.  He clearly phrased it as only a rumor, so I thought I'd ask whether anyone on this discussion board knew anything of substance.  It's a rumor that might not have any legs at all.

I'd want to know as well.  That guy was a good player.  As Sludge said, R-M's a bit of a cipher this year.  But it sounds as if you've got closer connections to the program than I do, so I'll gladly defer to your expertise/resources, as I've done before.

Lynchburg has released its 2007-2008 schedule http://www.lynchburg.edu/x10619.xml

notable non-conference games include: at southern virginia 11/16 (they always seem to play dramatically better at home), methodist 11/19, averett 11/28, twice against Randolph College (home on 12/8 and away on 2/13), and CNU on 12/17.

conference schedule looks to be pretty balanced with no significantly long home stands or away stands. longest conference home stand is three straight games and longest conference away stand is two straight games. also only once conference game before christmas (12/1) and the next conference game isn't until 1/9, so there will be plenty of time in between conference games to fix things and improve a lot. last 4 games look to be tough to close the season as we are home vs. roanoke and sydney and on the road against W&L and vwc.

Interesting, they go against a deaf college.
AS many of you know, Gallaudet is a member of the neighboring Capital Athletic Conference.  That game is one of the mid-week games that Gallaudet is playing. :)

Absolutely!  My good friend, sludge, is, as usual, right!  As you get to know me better, you'll find I have a very dry sense of humor.  :)  Welcome and keep posting.  Peace

Did the Russians use the satellite or a basketball in the 1972 Olympics?  Some of our younger readers may want to google the 1972 Olympic championship game as well.  :)
