Jacket lawyer, How do you find the audio of coach Rhoades on the Odac website. I checked but could not find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Maconfan - Try this link to the ODAC media day interviews with the coaches.  Once you open this, just click on the "watch the interview" line under Coach Rhoades' photo.  I know you asked jacketlawyer for help, but I'm sure he won't mind the assist.  :)

Hasa, thanks very much.  Karma for ye!!

Jacketlawyer,   I think the Jackets may sneak up on some people this year. I am looking for the end result to be better then last years 14-12 mark

Let's hope so, donho (nice handle, btw).  I'm always happy to be proved wrong, like I was in football this year. ;D

The question about HSC guards keeps coming up and it is a valid one.  However, I am inclined to believe they will be ok.  Of course, I have seen both Byron Lawton and Fitz Robertson play while many non-HSC fans have not.  Just the E&H and VWC games in the ODAC tourney last year made me feel good about Lawton and Robertson.  The question mark for me is the depth at guard and scoring.  I think Robertson and Lawton will step up this year, but there also has to be another capable backup.  I also think that Lawton in particular will have to be willing to take his shot and drive the the hoop to keep defenses honest.  Last year he was more of a distributor; this year he will have to assist in creating shots for Drew Prehmus and himself.

Brian .... I agree with you, that the HSC guards will be fine.  In addition to Lawton and Robertson at point, HSC has some talented shooting guards .... Drew Prehmus, Turner King, and I think we'll see some good stuff from freshman Paul Matthews.

I firmly believe with Kaase back our scoring is going to be less of an issue this year than last. Once Matthews learns how to shoot off the dribble, he could be scary. The intersquad scrimmage was impressive, as one can be, I am so impressed with the depth of our frontcourt. They are all built(230-250)can run the court and looks like all enjoy playing together. We all know the importance of chemistry. BRING IT ON!

The ODAC media guide is out.  A good read.

http://odac.bridgewater.edu/winter/mbball/default.html

which includes the macon roster, by the way.

WHAT PAGE?

Patience Jacketlawyer - when you go to the page read down the list in the left column & you'll see the media guide - just click on it.

No problem, Maconfan.  I'm glad to help.  We were all at seven posts once, so everyone has learned the same way.  If my family had kept me in school in VA instead of moving 300 feet across the NC line when I was 15 years old, I might have been a Jacket too.  lol  As it was, the Guidance Counselor at my new HS was a Guilford alumnus and influenced me to head to Greensboro.  Peace

HEY....what do you mean this week? LOL I have always been a Tiger fan. Probably a little more pumped this week than the norm. Oh heckfire......I"M JACKED!!  :o Certainly, you can understand that?  ;) :D Not sure what I would do if Maryville and H-S were playing tomorrow. That actually did happen in hoops a few years ago in the NCAA tourn. MC won at the buzzer on a very improbable last few seconds.

Allsky,

Please don't remind me of that game.  That was my senior year at HSC and we had gone undefeated until the ODAC Championship game.  Then we lost that 2nd round game at home when I thought the player did not have possession to be able to call the timeout at midcourt to set up the final second shot.  It was a very entertaining game however as Jermey Harris went out with a bang with his career high in points.

Good point, allsky.  I know you are always a Sydney fan, but it has definitely been kicked up a notch this week!  As Emeril would say, "BAM!"  lol  It should be a great game and all the other ODAC fans (and many DIII fans from across the country) are just as interested in the outcome, attendance and atmosphere as the Jacket and Tiger fans.  It's a classic end to the regular season!  Who would have predicted this on Sept. 1?  Have a great day tomorrow!
