Bomber, you left out the height and weight for the guys.  Thanks for the rundown, though.

GPT,

Rafters or Hanger...they are on University Drive right off of Route 9. About 1/2 mile from the Mullins Center (where UMass played when they used to be good).

And just in case you were wondering, Raymie Auman and Isiah Smalt are both white. Believe me, I was surprised too.

That's not the same Nick Bennett who was an All-American last year and "graduated" with two rings from Stevens Point is it?  I would have some questions about elligibility if it were.

Hoops, I like the way you think.

walzy31

I knew I recognized that name from somewhere. He was either first team or third team all american last year. I think Bennett was 3rd and Kaslow was a 1st teamer.

Amherst -14.5 Vs. Tufts       144.5
St John Fisher -9 Vs. Utica   134.5

Giving Amherst that many points, Walzy?  I like our chances, but let's not get too overconfident.  I'm pumped for tomorrow's games.  Word around school has a large student turnout at LeFrak...

formerbant10

I thought Bennet and Kalsow both ended up on 1st team.  They deserved it for sure.

I think Tufts should cover the spread, but I don't see them winning.  So going by the Sportsguy, I'll take Amherst and Fisher.

nescachoopsfan

unless you guys think amherst is really that good, i dont think that is an accurate spread, but how can you really doubt walzy, but im pretty sure the tufts team you saw the second time was the real tufts team.  also i dont know how much casnocha can do if his defender doesnt help off him.  but maybe i just havent seen him too much.
the tickets over at tufts were all sold out and theres a fan bus heading to lefrak.  should be quite the atmosphere.

formerbant10

I think it's important to remember that Casnocha did not play much in the first half to due the gash above his eye.  In his absence, McLaughlin played well but the offense was a little out of whack.  I'd like to think missing a senior captain was a part of that.

Here's how I figure Walzy came up with this line.  Final spread at end of regulation in first matchup: 29 points.  Final spread at end of regulation in second matchup: 0 points.  Total spread between both games 29 points.  Average spread per game: 14.5 points.

I could be off, but it seems logical that Tufts will not play as bad as they did the first time around nor as good as the second time around.  And vice versa for the Jeffs.  So take the happy medium.

dman

senator,

going back on your comments about matt hunt.  he was definitely more than just a shooter.  his defense was very under-rated- he played hard on d, and that was when nescac was a little more rugged than it is today.  he was an all-american.  also, not many people know this, and you would appreciate it, he played an entire season with a painful injury.  drew demuth is another williams guy who carved himself a nice career in europe, and i understand he scored alot of points over there.....

auerbach,
it's a breath of fresh air to have you on this board.  do you scout d2 and d1 too??  there must be plenty of good players from ne schools at that level who could play in europe, whereas in d3 it's like a needle in a haystack???
