A few things I noticed while looking at the record books for Bowdoin:
Kyle Petrie was good, he is in many categories whether it be top 5 or top 10.  I also looked at current stats for the Polar Bears. Since Bradley's (4 yr starter) career is coming to an end I noticed he will be in the mix in many categories.  It is also interesting to note that players like Andrew Hippert and Andrew Sargentson (3 yr starters) have a good chance of making the top 10 in the record books in a few categories.

The Historian

This is awesome.  Thanks.  I'll post the Amherst stuff in a few hours (once I get to work...yes, my job is one that even Casnocha could have done with a dent in his skull).

As for what to do with this info, I'd like to compile it and certainly post it to this site.  I can also send it to NESCAC.  I am very good friends with the Associate Director of NESCAC, the guy who compiles all of the weekly releases.  This is how I know for certain that they don't even have a record book.

C is for Cookie.

Col. Partridge

Although I am more of a football guy, I don't think any Wesleyan hoop fans post here so I took it upon myself to look for the Wes records.   Unfortunately, the men's basketball records are not posted on the website, even though the women's team records are posted.

The only thing I can find by googling is that Kanem Johnson holds the career scoring record with 1,692.

formerbant10

Leo Jones had the previous record at Wesleyan.  Not sure what he ended up with though as Kanem broke it 2 years later.

nescac1

Here are the Colby records:

https://www.colby.edu/athletics_cs/mens_basketball/records.cfm

Matt Hancock looks to be far and away the career NESCAC scoring leader and probably leads in many other scoring related categories as well.  Anyone here been following NESCAC long enough to have seen him play?    Brad Moore of Colby also looks like the likely career NESCAC rebounding leader with an enormous total there.

All time Williams records in Division III play (I think more will be hard to find as I don't think the school has any single web page devoted to this):

Scoring:  Mike Nogelo '98, 2000 (I think)
Rebounding: Ben Coffin '04, 836 (confirmed)
Assists: Mike Crotty '04, 819 (confirmed; NESCAC record).

Now all the Ephs need is to dig up two or three more players like that and they'll be all set to take down Amherst ...

nescac hoops

williams doesn't have a "record page" on their website. i know that kain was the 23rd male to score 1000 points. during my era nogelo, tim folan, drew demuth, crotty, coffin, kain all scoored 1000 points. i also know that sheehy was another. as for the other 16, i don't know.

enjoying all the records...i'm curious to hear if anyone has any experiences seeing any of the records being set, or any good stories. I saw Garvey's 48 pt. night at Bates; I was in junior high and to this day it remains as one of my favorite sports-related memories. Obviously, he was hitting everything that night; my most distinct memory was him hitting a three while getting fouled right by the stands. Alumni always has great atmosphere (well, at least second semester it does, once NESCAC season kicks in) but it was pretty electric that night as I remember. Garvey was a pretty charismatic guy to follow anyway--he used to shoot threes touching the circle around the Bates logo at half-court and make them like foul shots during warmups--but that was a pretty special night.

Col. Partridge

Is the Jim Rehnquist of the Amherst record book the son of late Chief Justice?

The Historian

Yes, Jim Rehnquist is the son of the former Chief Justice.

Mike Salerno is the son of the greatest tailgater I have ever met.

Steve Zieja is the son of the legendary trainer.

And Mike Proctor is the son of the father of a legend.

Lesson over.

Drew Cohen had 111 blocks last year, that puts him as a clear cut #1 in that category.

Per the Colby site, Hancock was 762-for-833 in career free throws, putting him at 91.5 and atop that category.

Also, his year-by-year numbers aren't broken down, but by my math, Hancock would have to average 600 points a season or so for his other three years, putting all four of his years on the list. By the same deduction, a couple of his other single-season free throw numbers would likely be included.

Interesting list, and it's somewhat suprising it hasn't been compiled by now.
