FormerBant, thanks for the note. Luke had told me you were in the Roch and he was going to try and meet up with you. Hope the gig is going well there for you.

Bold precdictions Eclinch. Love the faith in your Jumbos. Bowser will have to go wild and be on the ball like a fat kid on a cupcake, while Black will have to ring out the back of his jersey on the floor to slow down the Bants' backcourt. Hey it could happen...

My favorite Irishman is Dr. John B. P. Squigley McJizzley. He doesn't have Fitzgerald's red fire, but by God is he a fine countryman!

When is he not? :)

By the way, I'm doing the Jumbocast halftime show.  Watch for me.

Congratulations, Frank!  ;D  Always good to have a Clevelander around to help counteract the pernicious (and growing) CCIW menace in the HOF.  :D

I checked the 'Frequently Asked Questions' section of this site for guidance on the prerequisites for earning Hall of Fame posting status, but found nothing. Could someone point me in the right direction. Obviously, I understand I will never be a candidate, but I am intrigued by greatness. And Walzy is always looking for a resume-builder.

Is there a dissertation/defense format to earning this status, or is it based more on the fraternity-esque 'Hell Week' scenario. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations Frank.  Much deserved.

Congrats Frank on being (I believe) the first Eph / NESCAC HOF.

My picks for the first weekend of conference play.  I think there will be a few surprises:

Amherst splits, loses at the wire to Bates.  That will be their only loss until the conference tourney, but it may be enough to earn Bates the right to host.  Jeffs are a little banged up, it's a long road trip after an emotional game against Tufts, and Bates is healthy and has a huge home-court edge.  I don't see how Amherst can deal with Stockwell's strength especially with O'Shea hurting, Goldsmith out, and Coulibaly questionable (that is three of the top defenders on Amherst).  Bates 72 Amherst 69.
Bates goes 2-0, beating Trinity by 10.
Trinity goes 1-1
Tufts goes 0-2, gives Amherst a good game but an emotionally spent team loses to Trinity.
Middlebury goes 2-0 in two very close games
Williams goes 2-0 in two very close games
(Yeah, I know the Ephs haven't looked great, but I have a feeling they are due to start hitting a few outside shots and win a few at home.   If they lose both at home against these teams, could be in for a very long season.  Now that Rose is healthy only a matter of time before he finds his shot.  Seems like Midd is playing very well and has enough big guys to bother Cohen.  Midd is a lot deeper than either Bowdoin or Colby.  Bowdoin is tough to predict, I think they will play a lot of close conference games this year including both of these games.)
0-4 for Bowdoin and Colby.
Conn College beats Wesleyan easily.

I'm pretty sure Frank is the first NorthEast region HOFer.  Way to go Frank.

There are criteria that we look for. However, to publish criteria would mean we're encouraging people to stack the deck in their favor.

So we tend to keep the criteria to ourselves. But now there are 10 examples you can follow.

Frank -

Congratulations on your election to the Hall. You are the First NESCAC memeber, the first NE member, and the first memeber with such a large body of work on the sister site.

Best,

C

Coach C,

Maybe if you spent a little less time kissing bum bum and a little more time making quality posts, you would get elected to the hall...right next to my chainsaw

Coach C

Apparently you are a moron BooBallsCasRay.

Jumbos en fuego in the 1st half up 43-37. Haven't heard the official numbers, but they must have been 60+% from the field and maybe 70+% from 3.

Weitzen really is as good as he is fat...
