Hey walzy 31 - how little of a life do you actually have ? Making fun of aome of the nicest,
classiest guys in the league . Not suprising, not a lot of Amherst names on your stupid, not
funny lists . Classiest fans in the league : Amherst not  - led by least funny man on this site

YES YOU GUESS IT WALZY 31 !!!!
Fliegel got a double tech with Rob Taylor on saturday. Then for his 5th foul, Fliegel fouled Taylor really hard with 12 seconds left down 10.

the jumbos spent the last 2 minutes of the game fouling the ephs. many of the fouls were hard and twice players were warned that the next would be a flagrant. fitzgerald ended his college career by fouling an eph player with 5 seconds left and then shoving him into the wall. he fouled out at this point and walked off the floor with his hands down his shorts adjusting his nuts. he's a real classy individual. walzy, perhaps he belongs on your 1st "all crazy" team and isn't a measly 2nd teamer.
C'mon hoopjunkie. There are some crazy guys in the league and they deserve recognition.

You ability to seek out craziness is surpassed by none Walzy. You've truely outdone yourself. And don't be so modest about your hoop experience, those who know you know that you are the greatest one-man full-court press to walk the earth. Believe the Hype...

Hoopjunkie, could you send me your address so I can send you an invitation to the 2007 Haters' Ball? You're probably already going, but just in case...

Big props to Dr. Katten for making this year's squad. The man has the voice of an angel...

As hard as it may seem to believe, this year has been a great year for watching Williams basketball. Nobody had any expectations going in, since the cupboard was so bare at the beginning of the year. It was frustrating to watch a really young team drop a bunch of games early and look bad doing it. The upside has been watching the team get better week by week. I have never seen a team improve as much as the Ephs have. Regardless of what happens this weekend, this team has outperformed any reasonable preseason expectations. I have no doubt that we can play with Trinity and Amherst, though it would be crazy to predict a win. I do think that the odds have shortened considerably that an upset or two could happen. The Ephs are really 15-20 points better than they were a month ago.

Other opinions to the contrary notwithstanding, Paulsen knows how to coach.

I WILL GO TO THE HATER BALL BUT ONLY IF I CAN SIT NEXT TO WALZY
I GUESS I OVER REACTED TO SOME OF MY JUMBO BOYS SORRY ABOUT THAT .

BUT AFTER THE GAME I WAS HANGING OUT WITH A DEPRESSED BUNCH OF
JUMBOS WHEN THE PRESIDENT OF WILLIAMS WENT OVER TO WEITZEN &
SAID HE LOVED WATCHING HIS GAME & THOUGHT HE WAS A GREAT PLAYER
& THEN HE SAID HE WAS A"REAL MENCH " . PRETTY CLASSY OF THE WILLIAM
PRESIDENT I THINK HIS NAME IS SHAPIRO .

Frank, I'm not sure that anyone has questioned Paulsen's coaching ability -- just his recruiting ability.  But the current group of freshman may be on their way to dispelling those complaints as well.   Even the Paulsen haters have respected his ability to get maximum production from the talent on hand.

That is a great story on Weitzen and Shapiro (I'm guessing he didn't call Fitzgerald a mensch after his behavior at the end of the game).  As a proud owner of "Great Jews in Sports," I too am always on the lookout for fellow standouts of the Hebrew persuasion.  In addition to Weitzen, Tufts has Black and, I'm guessing, Grauer, putting Williams and Tufts neck in neck for the "Jewish men can jump" award.

NESCAC1 THANKS FOR THE CORRECT SPELLING OF MENSCH - THE JUMBOS
WERE INDEED A FRUSTRATED BUNCH. I GUESS I WOULD BE ALSO IF THERE
WERE NO HALFTIME DISCUSSIONS ON HOW TO BREAK A SIMPLE 1-3-1 DEFENSE .

EXCELLENT CALL ON THE JEWISH JUMBOS- 3 FOR 3 -I WISH THE JUMBOS COULD
HAVE SHOT THAT WELL ON THE SHABBOTH .

nescac1: Bring back Hank Greenberg.

Not sure if this was posted in the preseason, but here is an update on All Crazy Team first pick.

Is there anything more that can be said?  That's a perfect nickname!

A number of weeks ago I posted that Williams had a bright future in light of their young talent and that Paulsen is a terrific coach.  A few Amherst posters disagreed. Here we are a few games later and Williams is playing their best ball of the season. Paulsen has done a great job and next year will be very exciting with Rose and Shalvoy back and the first year players having a year under their belt.

Trinity will be tough for Williams but you never know, especially on a neutral court. They did play them tough in Hartford. I would love to see Williams play Amherst.  Even a loss by Williams to either Trinity or Amherst would not negate the truly outstanding finish to the season that they had.

Next year, watch out!
