First off, congrats to Amherst on capturing the title. I admit that it is bittersweet to see this NESCAC team win it but it is settling to know that we got it first. Congrats. Secondly, thank you to Mr. Nahill and Mr. Kessler, you have really demonstrated that Amherst produces as many socially weird, mutant, etc. students as does Williams. Next year the NESCAC should be really interesting. I'd say #1 is Amherst, #2 is Williams.....after that I think the league is pretty open with so many team losing so many players, though Tufts looks like it should be the third best team.

And if it will stop the semantic pillowfight between Sager and A'95, I'm willing to stipulate that every institution west of the Allegheny is comprised of nothing but open-mouth breathers and future ATM repairmen.

So THAT's what I'm supposed to be doing at my job thanks to my environmental science degree at a school in the Midwest. I knew I should have gone to Bowdoin.  :P ;D :D ;)

Feces: Why make it west of the Allegheny? Don't you mean west of the Fore?

C'mon, I love the Midwest. Albany is one of my favorite cities.

Seriously, without the good folks in the Heartland, I'd have the turd below taxing me out my impending windsurfboard purchase. And in a somewhat related note, it appears Kerry's campaign manager was Bowdoin's wide receivers coach for the past six years...

Then you must regard Troy as the cultural core of the East since by your lights the Hudson undoubtedly divides East from Midwest.

I wouldn't say my social life depends on them.  But rather our social life depends on my speakers, our bar, and grinding butts.  It's a beatiful relationship really.
Vigo,
You're speakers are broken.  You'll probably be living in the basement as soon as the guys figure that out.

I go to south beach for a couple days and this board goes from mudslinging and name calling to, well, mudslinging and name calling.  I guess some things never change ;) :D ;D :o 8) (I'm really sad that Vigo called diehardfan out on her smiley use before I could)

I'd like to be the first to nominate feces monkey for immediate HoF status.  If I had a nickel for every time I've had to stifle laughs in the library while reading your posts, I'd have somewhere between 5-7 nickels.  Please keep it coming, this board gets absurd.   ;)

Spring Break is almost over, and I am happy to report that Amherst's Jr. class got out of town without any major incidents or sunburns.(By using name repition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake I have recently become friends with the jr's on the squad.  They even let me go on spring break with them!  All I had to do was pay for everything and reapply sunscreen on them every 15 min...making friends is easy! 8) )

If you've never met me then you've no right to judge me.
I've got a good heart, but the heart can get ugly.
>:(
play nice.

Truth,
Thanks for giving my daughter the JJ jumper t-shirt...you are officially her idol.

Verdad, anyway we can get an SPF breakdown of the juniors of the team?  Perhaps the historian could do some more research and give us a team by team break down of the rest of the NESCAC.  I could really go for a side by side comparison of something entirely useless right about now.

diehardfan, environmental science degree and a tae kwon do master of a father...any other high points of your life you would like to point out to us?  Perhaps when you first gathered the courage to finally jump off the high dive?  Good grades you may have gotten?  Pictures of trophies from rec league level soccer?

To the haters...you may think I'm "an asshole," you may think my humor is on the level of a one Gallagher.  Since you have ignored the groundbreaking work with giving the audience panchos, I will first take that as a compliment.  He was given several Comedy Central specials.  And I remind you that this is the same network that pulled "Kids in the Hall" from the air in favor of MADTV.  I post here for my adoring public, which...from time to time laugh at the inane things I post here.  So I would like to say the following:

Please calm down.  I went and bought me an outfit today that cost me a lot of money, because I figured that Vigo was gonna win.  I don't know how you all see it, but when it comes to the children, Vigo is for the children.  I teach the children.  Puffy is good, but Vigo is the best.  I want you all to know that this is ODV, and I love you all, peace.

Let's see - rec league athletics - that's 2 cuts above DIII athletics, isn't it?

bonkers finish to the DII championship game.

I want to see a Vigo/JeffRookie dance off, followed by a play-by-play off, followed by pancakes.

A95, I too thought you were inferring some inferiority on the WIAC, but I was ok with it because I've often thought the WIAC academically inferior to some of the other d3 schools.

Not inferring, implying. He implied, I inferred.

Sorry to do the grammar Nazi goose-step down the NESCAC Champs-Elysees, but juxtaposing "imply" and "infer" is one of my pet peeves. It's just slightly below "preseason" and "non-conference".  ;)

That would explain why I keep coughing up spools of receipt paper.

::sigh:: Tell me about it.

I hardly ever bother anymore on Posting Up -- well, except for the "preseason" thing, but everyone should be permitted one vice, right? -- but I made an exception in this case because HF's a good sport who won't take umbrage at my correcting him or question my sanity because I've never lived east of the Hudson.
