Plattsburgh State defeats Middlebury 78-74 at Middlebury.

good win by the jeffs. RIC is a good team. it appears like they played a more complete game. that will serve them well this weekend.

Cinnamon toast three on the house all night.  All you have to do is ask for the "30 in 27 Special."

here's to hoping that tufts figures it out tonight and saves us all the trouble of going to umass dartmouth for sectionals

I'm not so sure that this game will be the deciding factor.

Old Guy

I was at the Middlebury-Plattsburgh game. Plattsburgh shot 20% (5-25) in the first half, 71% (22-31) in the second.

Middlebury was up 17 with 12 minutes to go. Plattsburgh's Anthony Williams just took over and we couldn't stop him.  Jordan-esque. Three pointers, drives to the hoop, 100% (6-6) from the line. Williams is a senior, transfer from Morgan State. We had our best defender, Edwards, on him. He can really play.

Exciting game. Tough loss. Harris played 8 minutes (12 points) - looked good. Big weekend.

I think it will be.

If both teams have one in-region loss, one to Brandeis and the other to Tufts, whose resume looks better?

i think what he means is that both teams still have difficult games to play after tonight. UMD has a game at Keene St this week and then another against RIC at home. (although after last night, I'm not sure RIC has what it takes to win that game) Amherst still has to beat CC on the road, Trinity at home and then win the conference title.

That's a very big if.  I'd wait until the regional rankings come out to make any decisions about who is playing where.

Final Score:
UMD 86  Tufts 74

story of the game looks like shot selection for Tufts, 6-29 from 3 land (21%) and 22-39 (56%) from inside the arc.

Pierce had a game high 25 and 10, Freeman led UMD with 24pts, 6rebs, 5 assists

When do the regional rankings come out?

eclinchy- Could you please let us know how many shots each Tufts player took in the UMD game? Did your shot selection theory work? I am dying to know.

CC beat up on a weak Mitchell College team 82-61. Chris Mosely hit eight three-pointers and "Charles Stone (Hackensack, N.J.) tallied 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists, shooting 8-for-11 from the field. Stone reached another career milestone, becoming the fourth Camel to top 1,300 points. Stone has amassed 1,317 points and 675 boards in his career."

CC is 16-4 and no doubt geared up for a run at the Lord Jeffs.

I should be a great game....the jeffs high octane offense vs. the camels stingy defense.....defense usually wins?
