Don't forget Chris Wilson. Or Tom Selby. Also I kinda like that kid Sherman at Colby. You're right... the juniors are far better.

I definitely agree that the juniors are superior to the sophomores. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the current freshman will be better than any other class in the league right now. It seems like every team has an impact freshman. Amherst has three. Williams has Wong. Trinity is loaded with young players. I think this could be a repeat of the class of '08.

Doesn't any one have a good story?
I once played in a 3v3 tourney with a Bowdoin alum, he was probably Class of 01 or 02(I think he was a law student when I played against him). I think he was lefty. I think he tried out for the NBDL. He told me how there was a contest to see who could jump onto a 12" high box as many times in a row as possible in :30 time. He won!
I'm not making this up...anybody know who this guy is?

Here is a good story about Trinity.  Has nothing to do with basketball, but it turns out Trinity has the most dominant program in the history of varsity collegiate athletics:

Not so fast, hugenerd and NCAA - Kenyon's men's swim team has won 29 consecutive national titles (though Denison just beat them for the NCAC title, so #30 in a row is no given).

Maybe they meant in the highest division competed at (Kenyon is d3 in swimming, right)?  By the way, does anyone know if Trinity gives squash scholarships?  Kind of like JHU and Lacrosse?

According to the article (don't you even read the stuff you link? :o :D), they don't, but 'they find ways' to fund them - hmmm....

I watched the video.  They made a similar comment about more flexibility with financial aid but I didnt know if that meant athletic scholarships or not.

NY Times also said last week that there are no athletic scholarships but imho with a significant percentage of players from overseas they are likely too rich to care or poor enough to get aid.  But, in any view, a pretty damn impressive track record!

there are some pretty exciting basketball games coming up this weekend, i cant believe we're talking about squash.

are williams fans not excited about the possiblity of ending amherst's absurd run of NCAA appearances? how are the amherst fans so unusually quiet before this crucial game? This is going to be an awesome battle in an epic rivalry on a neutral court!

CCsalive is leading in posts/day and his team is done for the year. unacceptable

hugenerd was talking squash - I was talking Kenyon swimming! :D

We now return you to NESCAC men's basketball. :-*

I am not sure Amherst would be out even with a loss ... the latest Pool C has them at number 10 or something like that so a lot of upsets would have to happen to knock Amherst out of the tourney.  Whatever the tourney implications, you can believe that Williams could not be more pumped for a chance to avenge some of its recent losses to Amherst, and of course it's without a doubt win or go home for the Ephs.  Amherst I'm sure is equally pumped for a chance to avenge the NESCAC tourney loss to Williams as well as the loss from two weeks ago.  Both teams seem to be pretty healthy, only question mark is Geoghegan, and both are playing well.  Should be a war.   I think the quiet may be because the rivalry speaks for itself -- notwithstanding my comments above, this game needs no additional hype in any setting, let alone in a rubber-match, do-or-die, NESCAC tourney semifinal ... in any event, let's go Ephs!

(As for the Trinity story, some sour grapes there from the Ivy coaches -- I mean, they have a HUGE advantage in recruiting considering the only US universities anyone knows abroad are Harvard, Yale and Princeton and maybe a few other ivies -- there is no way Trinity can draw from the same pool of international players without leveling the playing field a little, and Assiante has to get mad props for building a dynasty from scratch, at a school previously unknown to his recruiting targets)
