Walzy - Your prop bets are really annoying - sad attempt to be funny - I would have put the over under on attendance at the Tufts/Weslyan game at 78.5 if I were setting a fun prop bet because you can actually validate the bet.

I am going to parlay this so I want 12 to 1 odds please. Thanks.

Isn't the Williams-Midd game Saturday?

machine54

The MIDD v. EPH-U   game is indeed Saturday - other than Sharry playing the question is whether anybody will be there - the MIDD J-term ends today - will most MIDD kidds be gone tomorrow for a week break before spring term or will there be a big turnout - should be a good one

I could quantify the attendance at Tufts/Wes as well as I could quantify the number of minutes the coaches shoot the breeze if I were at the game. Both are quantifiable...but I won't be at the game, so neither are quantifiable. Sorry that you weren't entertained by the Million bet.

Your parlay is a loser but I accept the wager of $0 and love the action. The line in the Midd/Williams game changed and Williams is now a 6.5 point favorite. Since your bet amount was nothing, you can get the extra point on your parlay. The moneyline on Conn is -155. The payout on your parlay is 10.4:1
Good luck!

The url won't link directly to it, but you can get a summary, on one page, of where all the NESCAC teams and leading players rank nationally in every stat category at the NCAA site.  Click on Williams on this page, then click on NESCAC, to see everything on one page.

http://www.ncaa.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/ncaa-m-baskbl-div3-team-scoring-margin.html

Of particular note for Saturday's game, Williams leads the country in three point percentage and scoring differential and is near the top in terms of FG percent, threes made in total, and scoring.  Middlebury, meanwhile, leads the country in FG percentage defense and blocks and is near the top in scoring differential and a few other categories.  I note that if he had five more field goal attempts (too few to qualify) Whittington would be second nationally in FG percentage.
Nescac,

NCAA.com great site for all D-3 individual/team stats!!!

Just noticed that there are 8 Wisconsin teams in the top 30 nationally in FT %.  Whats in that Wisconsin water? Need to pump some east!!!

good thing the amh@bow video feed froze during bowdoin's final play....

My screen froze, and when i reloaded it froze again but with the image of Bowdoin players celebrating, so I'm guessing they won on the final play.

Also, Tufts-Wes going into a 3rd OT. Some tight games tonight.

Seems like Bowdoin did indeed win ... and Meehan played (and played all 40 minutes, the guy plays every other game of late, but when he does play, he goes for 40, weird).  Big surprise, even at home, in light of Bowdoin's struggles of late.  Watched a few minutes, from what I saw heck of game for Bowdoin PG Hauser, 11 points including three big threes and 10 assists, including several that were spectacular.  Tomorrow's game at Colby becomes a virtual must-win for Amherst if they hope to keep Pool C possibility alive ...

Tufts -- Wesleyan headed for Triple OT ... shades of UConn / Syracuse?

Final:

Bowdoin 69 Amherst 68

Bowdoin has been struggling in part because Coack Gilbride missed a number of games due to illness. He was back coaching tonight . .

Interesting.  Most years, Bowdoin rarely overwhelms with individual talent, beyond 1-2 very solid guys, but they always seem to play together, play tough defense, and are very balanced and organized on offense.  Gilbride does a good job maximizing the talent he has on hand.  I could see how his absence would really hurt.  They've been a hard luck team in close games this year, so they were due to pull one out ...

Wes-Tufts tied one with a minute left in triple OT ... could be headed for four!

... and, they are, quadruple OT, wow.  Each OT so far has ended 7-7.  All five Tufts starters have played at least 47 minutes ... Sha Brown with 30 and counting, Beyel with 32 and counting.

amh63

Amherst lost the game simply by the fact that Bowdoin wanted the game more.  It is reflected in the one statistic that jumps out between the two teams.  Bowdoin out rebounded Amherst!...by 10!   The missed one and one with 10.1 seconds to go by Amherst hurt but the game was dictated by the hustle of Bowdoin.  At times Amherst's defense fell apart.  To many easy layups late in the game given up.
