Old Guy.....Smart kid.....generous father.  Need any more yard work?  Never bet with my kids, and never paid them....except during their college years at Amherst...even their parking tickets!
Hugenerd...if Walzy doesn't see your post....he is in the Sloan school....do not know the course designation or the particular program.  Did tell me he has another year after this one.

Feeling a little better today....Amherst WBB team going to their 4th straight Final 4 and the men's Hockey team going to their 1st Frozen 4....watched on-line even though I cannot follow hockey games....to fast for my eyes.

To all of the NESCAC and Centennial fans still hurting, this article from this morning's Lancaster paper puts in all into perspective, right/
An awesome season to all...

Weird that Amherst makes their 1st ever Final Four during my first year in school there and now MIT make their 1st ever Final Four in my first year in school here...

Which course, if you dont mind me asking?  I just defended my PhD thesis last spring (Course 10).

Course 15

You ever run into Coach Anderson on campus?

Introduced myself in Lancaster.

Just perused the NESCAC website a bit. Two things jumped out at me:

1) Toomey was 3rd in scoring avg (17.8) and 1st in total points (500), 2nd in assists (4.82 - Wolfin with 5.23), 2nd in ft% (.910 - Kizel with .912), and 2nd in steals (1.82 - Distacio with 1.84). There are similar stats that can be put up for Kizel from an efficiency standpoint (ft%, fg%, 3ptfg%, A/TO Ratio). These two guys appear to be head an shoulders above the rest of the conference.

2) Colby is the only team in the NESCAC with an active winning streak. It is a one game winning streak.

I hope more teams in the NESCAC other than Tufts schedule MIT next season.

Thought I will post several items to add to the March Madness that is happening now.
Obtained from the Wash. Post sports section....Star center of Norfolk St.(15th seed) after his team beat #2 seed Missouri...states that his team just messed up HIS bracket picks!  Star center helped in scoring 20 plus points and 14 rebounds.
Lehigh player noted the many fans in the stands rooting for them..even during practice in the Greensboro gym....yelling Beat Duke..stating that he did not realize the intensity of the "hatred" between Duke and UNC fans.   Sounds a little familiar here on this board.  In Lehigh's game/win over Duke last night, many UNC fans were holding Mountain Hawks posters....yes, just learned the new mascot for the Engineers.
I'm now rooting for Lehigh!  Saw their game against Bucknell at Bucknell for the Patriot League's championship.  Watched because Bucknell's coach is a former Williams coach and Williams grad.  Rooted for the M. Hawks then and enjoyed their close win.
Watched the start of last night's U. of Wash. vs. Northwestern game in Seattle.  With the big W on the floor and Wash. colors being similar to Williams and Northwestern's colors the same as Amherst....thought there was too much purple in the game and decided to go to bed.
Believe its time for me to look at the Spring sports in play.

#8 seed bucknell took out #1 seed arizona in the nit!!  play tomorrow against nevada.  go bucknell!!  go lehigh!!

D3hoops has released the All American teams. Ryan Sharry from Middlebury has been named to the 1st team. Aaron Toomey from Amherst receives honorable mention.

Other Northeast players honored were Ray Askew from Albertus Magnus on the 2nd team, Daquan Brooks from Western Connecticut on the 3rd team, Mitchell Kates from MIT made the 4th team, and Lamonte Thomas from Johnson and Wales also made the 4th team.

Here is a link to the complete list.

East All Stars defeat the West All Stars 109-105. Middlebury's Ryan Sharry was chosen as the MVP of the game, Sharry had 20 points, 18 rebounds, was 7x10 from the field, 1x2 from downtown and 5x7 from the line. Also had 3 assists and made a key steal on the West's final possession. Chad Burridge from Oswego State and Matt Addison from Hardin-Simmons were also big contributors for the East team.

box score available?

Haven't seen one yet. Probably won't. I got Sharry's stats off the video feed and only got those because he was the MVP. Gordan Mann did supply a couple of East players for me over on the NCAA board. Here's what he gave me:

Magic Man:

I have it in hard copy.

Burridge scored 10 points in 25 minutes. 5-for-8, 1-for-3 from three, 3 boards, 4 assists, 1 steals, no turnovers.

Temguoa scored 11 points in 24 minutes. 5-for-9, 1-for-4 from three, 5 boards, 2 assists, 1 turnover.

I know you follow the East region players closely. If you (or anyone else) wants anything more, let me know.

If you have Milligan's stats, I'd be interested.

Reserved Seat, I heard Georgio didn't make the trip because of the foot injury he sustained in the Amherst game. D-Mac mentioned a possible broken bone (on another message board), but I don't know for sure.

hoops fan,
i have seen a bunch of games at F&M and the refs sometimes do seem partial, though i believe refs rarely decide a game. some are intimidated by coach robinson and the crowd.
