Untill Magicman gets back......It is at the half.  Panthers are ahead by 9....36-27, I believe.

Just heard from Cortland's SID, Fran Elia, who is a great guy and does a super job for that school. He informed me that there will be a video broadcast for Saturday afternoon's game. There will be live stats as well. So for all the Panther fans (and Cortland fans ) that can't make it to the game you can still see the game. Last week the SUNYAC championship game was on video from Cortland and it was a good broadcast with good announcing. I'll post a link to it on gameday if none shows up on the D3hoops scoreboard, but they will probably have the link as well.
Like I said, if you can't produce a webcast, you shouldn't be allowed to host.

Video broadcast of the Middlebury-Cortland game must have hit a snafu because it's not happening. Live stats are up and you can get an audio broadcast but the video won't load and it now reads service unavailable. Not happy at all about this turn of events.

Cortland with the early lead 18-14 with 10:50 left to play in the first half.

Tel me about it!  How can you not supply a video feed for a game this important.  Im on the radio link.  A couple of hick homers who never give the score.

Pull up the live stats. they are actually a little ahead of the audio broadcast and you'll know what happens before the announcer tells you. ;D

Middlebury leads at the break 36-27 thanks to 3 buckets from long distance right before the end of the half. The Panthers went from down 25-23 to a 36-27 advantage in the last 4:16 of the period.

Kizell leads Middlebury with 11 and Jensen has 9.  Kevin McMahon leads Cortland with 10 and Winter has 6.

Well they have obviously run into some technical problems that they haven't been able to overcome.

Just so you know the story. Cortland has not had video capability for their games this year. They just recently in the past several weeks were able to get some games on a video broadcast. I know severral weeks ago it was a D3hoops broadcast for the SUNYAC championships and last week they had a broadcast for the first round NCAA game. I'm sure they are doing all they can to make this broadcast happen, but sometimes things just don't work out. Look at the Superbowl this year. Stuff happens. ???

Does anybody have the Catholic-Williams videocast working? Mine hasn't loaded yet.

nescac1

Nope, not working.  Seems like a rough day for technical difficulties.  I note that according to live stats one of Catholic's stars, Shawn Holmes, is not in the starting line-up.  Wonder what the story is?

I can't get the audio or video feed for Williams to work.  Maybe it just hasn't been turned on yet.

What a joke.  I know Dave will gladly tell us what the technical rules state on all matters NCAA, but once again...logic.  You shouldn't be able to host if you can't produce a video feed.

I can't even get live stats to work right now...

nescac1

Video still down.  Live stats (not live box score, but live stats link) are working.  Catholic up 11-6 early.  Trouble for Williams: Nate Robertson already with two early fouls, the one guy who they cannot do without.  Shawn Holmes appears not to be playing for Catholic.

I can't get the Amherst-Plattsburgh State video to load. Now a message comes on the screen that says  WE ARE EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. I guess that Cortland isn't the only school that might have technical problems.

I hope all you guys that were bad mouthing Cortland  say the same nice things about Williams and Amherst ;D At least Cortland has an audio broadcast as a back up to listen to. ;)

Cortland has come back from a 44-36 deficit to retake the lead 50-48 against Middlebury. Kevin McMahon with 19 points to lead the way for the Red Dragons. This one is going down to the wire. May be the last one with the ball wins.

Matt Letourneau

I have no idea what's wrong with Shawn.  That's a huge loss for Catholic...I mean, HUGE.

nescac1

Just posted that video is down for the entire game.  Uggghhhh.

madzillagd

Uggh.  Video feed was working fine for the women's game last night.  A week is a long time to wait to NOT see a game  :(

Matt Letourneau

For the record, I'm not aware of Catholic having problems with their video feed...all year. (Just sayin').

I still can't even get the live stats to work.  I'm reliant on the Catholic website which only updates every so often.
