Tufts recruiting success is interesting in the recent couple of years.  Former Amherst grad and now assistant coach, Keith Zalaski, has been a real asset to Coach Sheldon's staff.  His presence coincides with the stellar recruiting classes that the Jumbos have had.

Old hooper... Interesting analysis!   thanks.... Keith K. Brings back good memories!  Comes from good stock...met his parents in Lancaster PA.  Was up to watch Amherst battle F&M for the right to go to the Final 4 with my younger son.  We needed to catch a bite and needed a table.  Keith' s parents invited us to join them.   Always thought Keith's father was connected to the game as a former ref....as he told me.   Only very recently, found out from a former HS classmate of Keith who lives in the DC area that his father was the AD / head of the Connecticut HS.  Small world.  Oh yes, Keith was a fine talented guard for Amherst.

Just saw this on Deadspin.  The box score of the future.  You pull the slide bar and it gives you a running box score through the whole game.

According to his twitter feed, he just created this yesterday.  This guy should be getting a call from ESPN in 3...2...1...

Is the advance of technology great at times.  Yesterday they confirmed the existence of the "God Particle"  to a 99.99% probability or something.  Wonder what Massey would give.  Have to point out here in response to Old Guy's post of the probability of a video during his HS playing days.  Not possible....the technology was not available.
Continuing on this "techie" trend.  Did anyone watch Hoopsville last night?  Caught a portion of it to hear their take of the Amherst teams.  Somewhere around their discussion of Middlebury and Amherst, I lost the video feed.  Did anyone else loose the broadcast?.....brought a smile/grin from me, I have to admit.  Upper Mich. space objects?...or just poor hardware.

Quiet here considering that three Sweet 16 match-ups are imminent.  Where are Walzy's spreads and prop bets (if the bookmaker's odds of all three NESCAC teams advancing are anything south of 40 percent, I'd jump all over that)?  Where is the Middlebury bloggers' opus on the keys to victory vs. Ithaca?  Where are the Midwest posters complaining about how easy NESCAC teams have it in the tourney?  Where is the bizarre free-association stream of consciousness post from amh63?  Oh, never mind ... but everyone else needs to bring it.

You guys lost all your momentum with all the "video quality nonsense".  Better get back on track.

NEWMAC is understandably dead - looking for my kicks from you guys!

Walzy how bout at least ranking your confidence levels for the 5 games this weekend?

I would put it:

1)  Amherst Men
2)  Amherst Women
3)  Williams Men
4)  Midd Men
5)  Williams Women

Apparently the current Director's Cup standings are in the USA Today today (Is that redundant?).

Here's a link to release:

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/nacda/sports/directorscup/auto_pdf/2012-13/misc_non_event/diiimarch14overall.pdf

Second page indicates 'As of March 28, 2013'  - welcome to the future.

WPI89:  Scrollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, Scrollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, Scrollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, Scrollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll  down to the end of the document and you'll see WPI made the list.  I'm going to go out on a limb and say you'll be able to overtake Southern Maine once the basketball points hit.  ;D

WPI89, I think the Ephs have a good chance (maybe 50-60 percent) of beating VWU, but that Midd is clearly a bigger favorite (more like 75-80 percent) in its game vs. Ithaca.

Thanks, madzillagd.  After a one year aberration in which Williams failed to win the Cup, the Ephs are in prime position to take a solid lead into the Spring season.  Williams will get a ton of points from both men's and women's hoops, and usually earns very high finishes in both men's and women's swimming (this year will be no exception).  The Ephs will also get points from skiing and possibly from wrestling, depeding on how this weekend goes (Ephs have three wrestlers competing).  It's going to be a two horse race this year between Midd and Williams.

Surprised at how low Amherst is right now, but the Jeffs will also get a ton of points from basketball and swimming and they will move up quite a bit.

There was nothing wrong on our end and we had viewers still tuned in for the rest of the show... so sounds like it might have been on your end.

I never lost the feed either.

madzillagd

Are we sure Amh63 lost the feed or was it just consciousness?

Ps - At what age are you no longer allowed to make that joke about someone?  I think I'm about to find out.    (all in good fun Amh63.  I SAID...  ALL IN GOOD FUN Amh63).

Yep it must be me with the bad hardware......did not check outside to see if the cable man was there.  The D3 site was still there but the screen went black and no voice...the D3 screen....not mine.  Oh well.
Both the Williams and Amherst websites are providing lots of coverage of their WBB teams in Holland.....photos, videos and interviews, etc. on the Amherst site.  Believe the EPHs also have such a full range of coverage.  Go Jeffs tonight.  Best of luck to the EPHs.
