Some brief video highlights from Williams' win over VWU.  Gives a sense of how effective both Nate Robertson and Taylor Epley were at driving the ball into the teeth of the defense:

Most impressive to me is just how jam-packed and boisterous Chandler was, despite the student body being on Spring break.  Tremendous fan support from the local community, what a turnout!

AndOne.....thanks for the info......BUT.....Mr.  Sager of North Park has provided his "wisdom" earlier.....at least 5 pages worth causing 5 more pages of responses.  We probably have seen the data/facts before.  Not sure since I do not care.  That goes for that "Massy Guy" who constantly seems to be misquoted or something since he seems to be 90% incorrect most of the time.....something like that when he comes to this board.
Have a good day. :)
Oh yes, you can go back about 15 pages and read the data you provided again, if you wish...maybe 20 pages?
Is this AO with????? afraid to ask!

amh63,

Not sure who the "Massey Guy" is. I know its not Greg.
Also not sure if you might think the poster known as AO and I are one in the same, but I assure you that is not the case.  :)

Grab the Rim - not going to Salem?  You should go to route on your panthers and meet up with Coach Hixon.

I'm off to Salem tomorrow. Williams has exceeded my expectations for this year, so what ever happens on Friday/Saturday is gravey. On the other hand, I'm as greedy as the next fan, and I want to move on. St. Thomas is a very good team, but they are not a great team, so they can be beaten by an excellent effort. In any case, it should be fun. I'd love to see other posters down there.

Toad22.....if you can meet up with nescac1....believe we have contacted.....then when I find him....others will follow?  Hope to catch the end of the Williams game....depending on traffic, etc.

D-Mac, Coach Hixon and me are meeting up for some bonding after the tournament. After we find our common ground we are going to work on solving the little skirmish in the Middle East.

Speaking of the trip to Salem, who else will be there?  As a Virginia resident, pretty much my only chance to see the Ephs in person is during tourney play!  Looking forward to meeting some of the other regulars here ...

We will be broadcasting the Middlebury-North Central game, planning to get there in time to watch some other games from the stands, see you there hopefully.

You can identify us by our "Nolan Thompson for Time Magazine Man of the Year" campaign t-shirts.

When there are links to individual games, we'll have those on our schedule pages also.

Great, look forward to seeing some of you there.

New D3 recruiting site:

http://d3recruits.blogspot.com/

Most of the NESCAC recruits listed are old news, but there is one VERY BIG piece of news.  Connor McLeod will be playing for Bates next year.  Yes, you read that correctly: the Highlander will be joining NESCAC.  I look forward to four years of strange accents, epic swordfights breaking out mid-game between McLeod and Dave "the Kurgan" Hixon, and cries of "there can be only one" echoing through NESCAC arenas.  Rumor has it that if McLeod earns a fifth foul, he regenerates five additional fouls and can reenter the game.  If you think I've exhausted my supply of Highlander-related references, stick around for four more years.

I truly am unable to overstate my excitement for this development.

This appears to be the live streaming site for the games in Salem.

Watching ten straight hours of D3 hoops seems heavenly to me.  My wife says it can't be done.  And she's wrong about one other thing;  I do to have a life.

Funny - Mid - I went to give you a +1 and hit smite by accident - all the highlander references got me in a "smitey" mood.  It let me add back the point - will add another at some point - sorry.

As I was reading through the poll response choices regarding Mr. Sager's data being posted on every page, I was waiting to come to "no" as selection option. What kind of poll offers 3 variations of a "Yes" response?

the best kind.

OK!  Maybe my last post before taking the Road to Salem.....could almost be a title to a book.....song.  Snow on the cars today.....no pool time for me.
Sidenote comments only since I never have much to add to games ahead.
Panthernation.....bring some extra T-shirts....may purchase one for a gift.
WPI89.......what side of the highlander saga are you on.   Crazy board posters who are either Scots/Irish (all vikings really), Highlander fans, crazy or all above.  Actually, liked the original series but found the follow-up ones lacking.
Another WSJ input....today's book review was one on Bobby Knight's new book....you know the famous IU coach who do not like refs.  Anyway, he stresses defense and minimizing mistakes.....much like Bo Ryan of Wisconsin who uses passing drills.  Knight likes 4 passes before a shot.  Furthermore, he likens the good point guards last second decisions skills to stockmarket traders and investors.  Reviewer doesn't agreed on this.....but it allows me to tie a number of items here.  Tim McLaughlin (Delbarton School), a star guard who was selected on the all tournament team in Salem and  a member of Amherst's '07 title team....was a great defensive player.. joined a stockbroker/investment firm after Amherst.  His mother, a school teacher, told me that she believed that Tim got the coveted job over a former HS classmate that attended Brown Un., because of his success on the BB floor where it is stressful and a need to make quick, smart decisions, etc.  I guess McLaughlin is from a clan in Scotland?

I unfortunately will not be making the trip to Salem this year but my slightly less attractive, slightly less intelligent brother will be there so I'm sure he'd love to hook up with folks.  He'll be the loudest father in the stands, I guarantee it.  I thought about pulling the trigger but from Sacramento, it was literally going to be more layovers and more difficult to get to Salem than it is for me to get to Oslo this summer, and at the same price as a ticket to Norway.  Insane.  I'll definitely do Atlanta if we miraculously make it that far.

I'm assuming most folks are driving but good luck to anybody that is flying.  Sounds like TSA staffing is down at the moment.  Mother-in-law was flying in from Norway yesterday and spent 3 hours in customs in Chicago - something that usually takes 30-45 mins.  Missed her connecting flight and is flying in today instead.  Better to plan a few minutes more time getting through security I guess.
