Unfortunately, I don't see any link for either video or live stats for the Williams/Stevens game, so we may just have to hear about the game after the fact.

On the Stevens men's basketball schedule for Williams game , click on "details" which will bring up the "live stats" and "watch" icons. Clicking on "watch" takes you to the Empire 8 TV conference web site where there is a list of games offering video:

All is well in the NESCAC BB world!  All the games have links.  D3hoops website shows a video and livestats  link presently.   Therefore, the links should be on the schools websites.   Is it not great....this tecnology :D  this internet and how spoiled we all are getting. :)  Rumbling for HD, and replay being heard.  Forcing me to think about upgrades to my equipment to handle the higher data flow and improved density of pixies.....are they like little people? that can fly?  Oh, it is pixels.   Really, it is most interesting to me to see how our American language grows.....leaving me further behind it seems :-*

Williams down by one at halftime.  Bad news for the Ephs, early in the game Taylor Epley injured himself, looks like an ankle, and it seems likely that he will not return.  The Ephs just can't seem to get all of their guys healthy at the same time this year.  Duncan Robinson has been dynamite, as usual, for Williams, but down two key offensive players the Ephs have otherwise struggled a bit against a very quick and aggressive pressure defense.  Stevens is definitely a quality opponent.

At the end of the first half....it is Stevens by 1 on a last second shot....32-31, I believe.  Nice passing and ball movement with Stevens scoring inside and outside....inside mostly by drives and layups.   Williams is pushed along by Duncan Robinson's play early with two long threes.  Mayer returns in the last minutes of the half and scores 5 points via inside play...a rebound and put back, and a 3 point play the old fashion way.  Earlier he missed from outside and in short inside shots.  Seems tired to me....again.  Rebounds?  Seems to be even with the shorter Stevens players being more aggressive.  Do not want to be harsh....but at times it seems that the Williams defense is missing.  Stevens playing a man to man and goes into a press near the end of the half.  Announcers stated that a press is a common defense.  Announcers seem to be on top of the action and neutral to me.  Will be switching to the ECSU game.

Williams buckled down and played physical D down the stretch.  Too big, too strong for a game Stevens team.  Duncan Robinson showed some of what he's capable of, again.  And that's scary.

For the third straight game, Williams plays much better in the second half than in the first.  Not sure what Maker is telling the team at halftime, but it's working!  That is a really, really good win for Williams -- Rooke-Ley, out, Epley, out for all but seven minutes, Daniel Wohl, really struggling with his shot (although he played an awesome floor game, other than his outside shooting), Mayer, overall a pedestrian game for him (he scored 18, but seemingly half of them were in the last few minutes with the game out of hand already).  And yet, they win by double-digits, on the road against a quality team thanks to an amazing game from the frosh.

If any team in the country has a better trio of frosh, I'd be stunned.  All three just get better and better.  Duncan Robinson had yet another monster game -- 22 points, 10 boards, 3 steals, 2 assists, 5-8 from deep, including back-to-back threes that really put the game out of reach in the second half (one of which was from about 25 feet).  I'm not sure what more can be said about him that hasn't already been said.  Mike Greenman plays with more and more confidence and seems to get better every game.  He hit some key shots in the second half and finished with an impressive 17 points and 4 assists, including three treys.  Dan Aronowitz also had some great moments finishing with 10 points despite fouling out.  He is really quick taking the ball to the basket and a good finisher -- he just needs to work on his outside shot in the offseason, and also learn to avoid picking up needless fouls, and he will be a big weapon next year.

Williams overall played very good defense the entire game, I thought, mainly man-to-man with just a bit of zone sprinkled in.  Desegniora shot the ball very well for Stevens, and Sabatino is a fun player to watch (he had three monster dunks), but otherwise, Stevens had a tough time scoring.  The Ephs' D has really looked much better over the past three halves of play than it has for much of the season.  Now if they can play offense in the first half of games as well as they play it in the second, they will be in business.  Fingers crossed that Epley and/or Rooke-Ley can return from injury in time for the big NESCAC games ahead.  If they are healthy, with the emergence of Greenman and Aronowitz, suddenly the Ephs are a pretty deep team ...

Odd start at Lasell for the LJs.  Worth a peek.

middhoops

Middlebury is playing ragged again.  Only down 7 with plenty of time to go.  Keene has a 7 footer who can actually play pretty well.  The lead announcer on the broadcast spends a LOT of time complaining about refs.  At home.

nescac1

Amherst seems to have figured Lasell out, as they went from down 14 early to up 12, and it's still the first half.

Big day for NESCAC so far: Wesleyan pulls off the upset over Eastern Connecticut (who was missing their top player, but still, a mid-tier NESCAC team beating the far-and-away leader of the LEC is a feather in the conference's cap).  Jack Mackey continues his hot shooting -- in his first four games as a starter (all Wesleyan wins) he has hit 13-22 threes.  Williams had the impressive win at Stevens.  Tufts won big despite Sabety not playing.  Bates and Bowdoin pulled out wins.  Colby and Amherst both look to be in good shape.  Midd is locked in a close game with Keene State, but if the Panthers pull it out (as I would expect), we could have an 8-0 day for NESCAC!

Wesleyan Cardinals take it to ECSU tonight 68-62 on outstanding 3 pt shooting by Harry Rafferty, Mackey and Davis!!! I think Mackey hit a 4 point play with 1 min to go to put them in the lead for good
The Cardinals deserved the win as they outplayed the Warriors in all aspects of the game ::)
Salzillo and Lindo both did not play although Lindo was suited up ???
Eastern has some type of mental block when they play Wesleyan, which is sort of pathetic.... 5 losses in a row >:(

Castleton put up 138 points on an in-state rival, 50-98 from the floor.  Now that's "the system".

AmherstStudent05

Amherst defeats Lasell 95-74.

I was only able to watch the final 15 minutes of the game, but I gather that Amherst got off to a rough start.  If they did, they definitely righted the ship by the second half.  Lasell plays a very interesting style of basketball.  They are full speed ahead at all times, but, unlike most teams that play at that pace, the Lasers really only have 2 players who can hurt you on the offensive end.  They had one little guard who was lightning quick.

Aaron Toomey was one assist away from a triple double as he finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists on 50% shooting from the field (he also had 3 steals and a block).  According to the box score, Aaron also had 0 turnovers, but I saw him make at least one on a no-look pass.  Oh well, I am not complaining!  Conner Green is also back to his scoring ways.  He had 24 points and almost as many shots.

As nescac1 said, great night for the nescac all around.

Colby Hoops, thanks for posting that highlight video.  Had Gliedman hit that shot against Amherst, Williams, or Midd, we would definitely still be talking about it!  (Was it just me, or did it looked like he walked there?  Either way, "absolutely insane" sums that play up quite nicely.)

Time now to focus on Conn and a resurgent Wesleyan team.

Amherst wins over Lasell in an away game 95-74.  It could have been more but for several reasons.  Amherst was breaking the full court press and working the ball around to get the ball inside only to get fouled.  Mussachia would be in double figures if he hit his foul shots.  Got better as he starts to relax.  Still he got himself in position, hustle and played solid defense.  Amherst was running particular plays and giving up shots to open people outside to take some time off..  Ends up that in the 2nd half, Lasell gets to double bonus fouls trying to get the ball early while Amherst only has 5 fouls in the half.  Still there are several good shooters on the game Lasell team that starts to hit shots from outside to get back into the game.  It was the down periods that allowed Amherst to start building up the lead even while putting in new players.  Berman seems ready to play PG in the Amherst system.  He plays with more confidence and definitely knows the position.  George comes in and starts to show his talent.....swatting the ball away a number of times.  Finally someone set him up for a two-handed flush down....think it was Toomey.  Aaron put on a show again.  Had 13 points in the half and 7 rebounds. Green also had 13 points.  Kalema looked good breaking the press...or should I say taking turns with Toomey.  Otherwise the press was broken by long passes.  Good news...no one was injured....though Pollack had someone step on his foot.  Ugh.

Will read the box in the morning.  It was a good workout since it was competative for periods and forced players to play tough man to man against some very quick players.
Forgot.  It was 47 to 40 at the Half...as Lasell surged a bit to cut the lead of Amherst.  Amherst gets 48 points in the 2nd half, while holding Lasell to 34 points...in a very up tempo game overall.

A good win for Middlebury tonight, 92-86 against a very young and improving Keene State squad.  Five freshmen were on the floor at times for the Owls.  7' sophomore center Nate Howard is a powerful inside presence that gave the Panthers fits especially in the 1st half.  He tallied 20 points in 20 minutes of play along with 7 boards and 2 blocks.  Trailing 48-41 at the half Middlebury slowly took control of the game in the second period.  Sinnickson scored 26 points to go with 12 rebounds.  Kizel scored 23 with 5 assists and Merryman added 14.  Jack Roberts had 7 boards and 8 blocked shots to go with his 6 points.

After the disappointment of last weekend it was heartening to witness a solid comeback performance by the team as a whole with four very tough conference games remaining on the regular season schedule.

I thought that game was pretty entertaining.  Good luck the rest of your season.
