Hurley hits a three to send the game to a third OT.  A nicely designed play by Bowdoin.

BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many OTs do we think it will take before either team gets to 75 points? 6?

AmherstStudent05

I guess you can never win on the foul/not to foul situation when you are up three.  Workman and Shasha aside, I still like the foul.  Hurley got a great look. And made the Bantams pay.

Trinity game is in double OT.
Got to see the box on the Amherst win.  Amherst was not shooting foul shots well....yet that was the only shot stat that they had over Colby.
Amherst did have the rebound margin...the ones that impacted the game were the TOs and the Blocks!  Amherst had fewer TOs and 9 blocks.  Levine...yes Levine had 1, Killian had 1, Green had 3, and George had 4 and an lot of intimidation factor. :).
In comparison to the first game where Toomey led the offense, the quiet Killian and Green led the offense and the defense in this game.  Toomey still got 12 points and 7 rebounds...plus assists and steals.  In summary, good team effort by Colby...better one by Amherst.  Gach came in and hit 2 threes and played his part as did Levine and Mussachia.  Note...Toomey got himself into foul trouble and sat alot.  Hixon even took him out in the 2nd half and brought him back with about three minutes to go...I believe.  As I said...TEAM win!

Didn't get to see any action today but based on a Robinson tweet a few hours before the Williams game about the Bates young man that was found dead in Rome, I believe they may have been friends. I can understand if he didn't have his best game if that is indeed the case.

They are from nearly towns in Coastal New Hampshire.  The young man from Bates (John Durkin) was a junior football player studying in the Trinity program in Rome.

Bowdoin loses to Trinity: 67-70 in triple OT.

One one level this was great effort by the Bowdoin bench to bring them back from a 14 point deficit in the second half when Bowdoin simply couldn't buy a basket.  Major props to Bryan Hurley and Matt Palecki.

Bowdoin had many chances to win and made mistakes all through the game but the officials blew a call late in the 3rd OT that probably cost the P'bears the game.  With Trinity up by 2 points, Bowdoin got the ball down low to Swords who turned around to lay it in.  The ball was in the cyclinder and a Trinty player clearly interfered with it but there was no call.  Papadeas got the rebound and Bowdoin was forced to foul.  Papadeas made 1 of 2 to make it a three point game.   Really frustrating to have the game turn on a blown no call like that.

According to the D3hoops scoreboard.....Trinity pulls it out?  Need someone to fill me in since I did not get back in time.  Thanks P'Bear for the recap.
Bottom line .....visitors made it tough all around for the hosts.  Nice to see tight games....not in LeFrak though.

Yes the Bowdoin announcers were checking the timeouts again.  Surprised they were confused at times,,,especially the rules in OT....extra time out given.  Did expect the Bowdoin HBC  to call the timeout with under 20 seconds to go in regulation.  Gosh I really need to master English :'(  minimize all these updates.

Tough loss for the Polar Bears.  Eastern just finished the LEC season 14-0.  Bowdoin fans better be equally as big of Eastern Connecticut fans this weekend.  Can't see how both Bowdoin & Eastern would both get into the NCAA field, and Eastern probably has the leg up on them.

shout out Middlebury SID for the highlight video add-on to the game recap. Enjoyed that

I would also think that Bowdoin should be a big fan of Williams as well.  As I have said before, I believe that Middlebury is a better team than Bowdoin.  However, I can see the argument on the other side -- and, of course, the regional rankings are what they are.  But, should Middlebury beat Willams (and fall in the Championship game), I don't see how they could possibly be placed behind Bowdoin.  Again, I can't speak as to Midd's Pool C chances generally since, as I have said, I really don't follow other regions at all (and, truth be told, I agree with the general consensus that for Midd it is really AQ or bust).  Still, if Midd beats Williams, I think it would be most unfair to put in the Polar Bears in over the Panthers.

Agreed.  What's frustrating is that Bowdoin controlled it's own destiny up until the Midd game.  The wheels came off the offense in the three losses to Midd, Tufts and Trinity today.  As a result Bowdoin now has to hope for the stars to align in order to get a tournament bid.  Really feel bad for the players as it's been too good a season for it to come down to this.

There aren't a lot of great scenarios for the P'bears but that's probably the best one.

So, Middlebury advances to the semi-final weekend, the 7th-consecutive year the semis will include the Panthers, which is the longest active streak in the conference. (Amherst has the second-longest streak at 4 consecutive years.)

Midd built a 22-point second half lead and then held on for dear life, as the Continentals showed no quit. Great shooting afternoon for Midd (though not from the line), and an even more impressive defensive performance on Matt Hart, hounding the talented guard into a 4-11 game (1-5 from three) and just 11 points, 10 below his average. Jake Brown logged  the most minutes on Hart, though Kizel and Jensen both spelled the freshman and made Hart work for every point he got. I'd like to think that this afternoon put to rest the silly notion (held by one partisan Hamilton fan) that Matt Hart is the runner-up to Aaron Toomey for conference player of the year. Great player, fantastic shooting stroke, but Middlebury wasn't exactly throwing double-teams at him today--just solid man defense.

Joey Kizel a solid 14, 6, and 6. Merryman led all Panthers with 17.

Does anyone know when the bids for the NCAA tournament will be announced?
