Now down to a 3-point lead with under 4 to play. Wesleyan took a series of very ill-advised shots early in their possessions. The quick pace allowed Trinity to put together the spurt they desperately needed.

I like the announcer too. My only complaint is that he seems to use Wesleyan/Trinity entirely interchangeably. He gets the correct team name no more than 50% of the time.

Yes, yes they did.

1 point game with 50 seconds to go.  Fans are getting their money's worth

Wesleyan holds on to win by 3 after a last-second trey by Starks rimmed out after getting halfway down.

Exciting game. I think the winner of the late game should be favored tomorrow.

Wesleyan upsets Trinity 55-52.  Wesleyan lead wire to wire.

Congrats to the Cardinals on advancing to the finals.

Congrats to the Bantams on a great season.

CatCountry2013

Weird game. Wesleyan was able to maintain the lead the whole game despite some last ditch efforts from Trinity. Exciting ending and the fans were really getting into it. Extra security had to be brought in to "control" the Wes student section. Then they stormed the court after the handshakes. Congrats to Wesleyan on beating the No. 1 seed.

How does Trinity losing affect the possible at-large bid for Bates?

So, officially time for the mea culpa.  Certainly more than one bid this year.  In fact, if Bowdoin wins today and loses tomorrow, five are in play (probably won't happen, but certainly could).

Wes-Trinity: tough defense on both sides.

How did Trinity score 90 against Midd? How did Midd score 97 against Wesleyan? Crazy season

Wesleyan almost dissipates a 12-point lead with 8 minutes to go with poor shot choices (should have gone inside more) and slow pace. Key to the game was Coach Reilly's packed 1-3-1 zone against a poor outside shooting Bantam squad, especially from distance .... biggest on-the-road support from Wes nation in recent memory.

Have to say I really like the announcer on the webcast. Assume he is an NSN announcer.

Bruce Bosley - does the Midddlebury games on-line for NSN, experienced VT announcer, professional, very well-prepared

Agreed. it's been a wild ride so far and there's more ball to play!

Interesting. Bowdoin has come out in man defense.  Haven't seen that much this season.

Interesting. Bowdoin has come out in man defense.  Haven't seen that much this season.

Bowdoin went to zone in the rare instances that Green was off the floor.

Racy had 14 in the first half and that's the Amherst lead at intermission.

Bowdoin trails Amherst at the half 24-38

Bowdoin has done a good job against Connor Green but not much else has gone right for the P'bears. The biggest issue is that Bowdoin can't get any offense going. They have wasted several possessions with rushed or poor shots. Swords is having trouble finding the position he wants.

On the defensive end they were doing OK until late in the half when they had several clear defensive breakdowns that allowed easy baskets including 3's by the LJ's.

Hopefully we can find some offense in the second half.
