Nice commitment for Williams:

Prowitt-Smith, an athletic combo guard, is ranked 13 in CT according to NERR.  He turned down multiple D2 scholarship offers to choose the Ephs.

I note he is ranked one spot above a Johns Hopkins recruit. Former Eph assistant Josh Loeffler has been crushing it in recruiting in his first few years.

Amherst assistant (and alum) Adam Hutchinson headed to Kean U as the head coach:

Nice move for him, albeit late in the game to take over a new program.

NJBalla35.....indeed the move to Kean Un. by Adam H. Is most interesting in many ways.  Adam's bio has him being the HBC at STevens Tech awhile back.  He will be facing another Amherst alum at TCNJ...another school in Kean Un.'s conference.  On top of that, this season's schedule has Kean playing in Amherst's season opening tournament.
The story of Adam moving from W&L back to NE was for personal/family reasons.  His wife would be closer to her family and has a nice job at nearby Deerfield Academy.   This new job at Kean University is another story yet to be told, if ever, IMO.

6'2" Worcester Academy senior guard Dylan Lien commits to Bowdoin. He sounds like a very good 3 point shooter with a developing offensive game off the dribble. More info here:

Duncan Robinson starts the NBA regular season as one of 14 players on the Miami Heat roster. First game tonight ....could not happen to a better young man who has shown an ability to work hard, keep improving, with lots of poise and grit...

Thanks for the update.  Sounds like a great catch for Bowdoin.

With the news of recruits for next year starting to roll in, I am reminded again of the importance of recruiting. Over the years, I have asked several dozen college coaches how important they think recruiting is compared to other aspects of coaching. Without exception, all of the answers have been that recruiting is between 60% and 80% of what determines how good a team is. All the other aspects of coaching pale by comparison to recruiting when it comes to results on the court.

I have watched Cole Prewitt Smith, the latest Williams recruit to be announced, scrimmage. He is very good, and I think he should fit in nicely
to the Williams offense. Williams loses a class of six next year, so I expect at least 3-4 more new players. I hope they are all as good as the first one, because we lose a lot (Scadlock, Casey, Heskett, and others).

Is Williams going to have enough unis to go around?

LOL! I think our coach, Kevin App, likes 15-16 for a roster, so he should have enough!

Coach Hutchinson is a good man and I wish him well.  Kean U will be a dramatic change for him.  In many ways it is the polar opposite of his last HC position at W&L.  Good luck to him!
