rookie,
i only brought up that i played tennis and basketball after people asked what i played in college. the rec league comment was a joke/comparison. now don't forget to use frabric softener....i hear andrew doesn't like his clothes all "stale". lastly, damn graduation. i only get to see 4 eph games a year at most since i graduated. good luck tonight, christopher rose. i hope you got into all the classes you wanted to for next semester.

Who put you in charge of what's ok to post in this forum? I'm pretty sure its not the place to post your rec league stats or boast about your job either. We could have a whole seperate forum for all the posts you've had talking about yourself.

By the way, I don't really know Olson, but if I thought doing his laundry would help him take us to a national championship, I'd do it in a heart-beat.

As for the Amherst center's being boring, I don't see how you could possibly say that. Hopkins is a dunk machine and Jones is pretty flashy for a post player. O'shea is kinda boring, I'll give you that, but he's mostly a defensive player, and it's hard to be too exciting on the defensive end.

that's because i never did say that. again, i think you have the wrong man.

AGAIN, the rec league was a joke in regards to the competition that amherst plays against and how easy it is to do have "career bests" against such competition. everybody else seemed to get the joke but you. i haven't played in the league since last year....perhaps hixon should take a lesson from me in walking away from non-challenging competition. my job blows - i work 100+ hours a week and i feel like i'm selling my soul. my occupation was brought up as a joke walzy and i had. i hope to be out of this business by next year.

i am not in charge in regards to acceptable criteria for a forum. however, ill put myself out on limb by saying nobody here cares about another poster's thesis work...other than mike, and apparently you.

good luck mike. i hope your sore throat doesn't make your voice sound to raspy for the 37 listeners of tonight's midd-amherst game. i can bring you throat losengers if you want.

Bluesky

The future is bright for Williams. Paulsen brought in a great class and they simply need time and experience.

We'd kill for 37 listeners most nights!  :D  Hey, it's fun for us, it's good for the parents and alums who can't get to the games, so it's a win-win.

Of course, with that said, no broadcasting of tonight's game.  We've discriminated against our hockey team for too long and it's time to make it up to them!

Dr E. Spengler

To almost everybody on this board...especially some of my fellow jeffs...

mmhmmhmhmmmmm.....mhmhmmhmhmmm....myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy fingers hurt.

Snukele, If we want to get really specific Salerno is David from Real World Boston.  What is the connection between these two besides their mass. connection.  PASSION.

Maybe one of you guys who sleeps with stats under their pillow at night will tell me if Shepherd was able to dribble the ball more than twice when Sal was guarding him.  I haven't seen a man look this scared since Rocky in the second round of the Creed/Drago fight.

Like New Orleans (New Orleans),
Detroit City (Detroit City), Dallas (Dallas)
Pittsburg P.A.

My only prediction for everyone's new favorite player this weekend: Brian Baskauskas...

Saturday night his line will look a little something like this:
Thizz Face, Doors Open Man, Ghost Ride The Whip, Ghost Ride The Whip...

Also, and most importantly, if anyone plans on attending the Amherst/Williams game tomorrow...hide your wives, lock up your daughters...because the mongo is back in town.

Don't make me tell you I told you so.

Can an Eph fan help me?  I'm prepping for tomorrow's Amherst-Williams game, and I have no idea how to properly pronounce "Geoghegan."  I don't want to butcher the poor guy's name on the air...

I am quite sure that the name is pronounced: guh-HAY-gun with the accent on the second syllable

Friar T

Damn I missed you Spengler, I haven't laughed like that in weeks...

Looks like nescac hoops has found someone else to fight with and this time he's picked the right guys.

Bluesky must be new. It's sweet that he has such devotion to his Ephs, but his naivity will be destroyed quickly among this group of realists. I guess you missed the memo Bluesky, Williams is terrible. Nescac Hoops, catch this guy up on reality...

Midd and Williams could lose four games by 80 points this weekend. I'd like to welcome the Panthers to real competition... However, if they step up and compete, I'll give them their props. Games against RPI and Hamilton don't impress me and I'm sure many others agree...

I heard Olson has 7-12 women arguing over who gets to wash his clothes by hand...

The Historian

Now, Friar T, I'm not a holy man.  In fact, I'm a little inebriated right now.  But I love your post.  Can't wait to get a little fiesty tonight at the Midd game in 15 minutes.  Hope Pat is there.

Nescac Hoops, your posts are degenerating faster than Williams' hoops program.  Go dunk on an old man.

Bluesky, you might be the worst poster of all time.  Paulsen can't recruit, and just because you post it, doesn't make it so.  Seriously, you have three posts, and not one of them even comes close to being worth the time it took me to read them.  Have you read this forum before?  I'd love to have insight into the thought process that made you think you have something substantial to contribute to the conversation.

Finally, 37!!!!!  I hope you get 37 listeners.  To all my Clerks fans out there, that's a magic number.

Hopkins is a dunk machine

OK, well, I had watched 65 minutes of Amherst basketball before I saw one finally, just now. :)

Amherst won 79-73. Middlebury was as close as 72-71 with just under five minutes left but missed on back-to-back possessions and a three with about 40 seconds left that would have cut it to one missed everything.

..and naturally, the hockey game was a stinker.

I was VERY impressed with Middlebury tonight.  I think this is a team very few people thought was for real, but they have a nice group of players.  Rudin in many ways was as advertised - quick off the dribble, explosive down the lane, and solid court vision.

What surprised me most of all was the intensity of the defense at each end in this game.  These are two high-scoring, run-and-gun squads, by all accounts.  Yet for much of the game, it was a fierce half-court battle.  And Midd was ready to play.

Wheeler has really matured over his four years.  When he came in, he was a perimeter-oriented player.  Tonight, yes, he had his threes, but he also scored a bunch of points on second-chances down low.  And boy, can he defend in the low post.

Good luck with these guys tomorrow, Trinity.  The Panthers could surprise some people this year...
