i cant see bowdoin pulling this one out for a couple of reasons, this is gonna be their 4th strait game on the road, and its not as tho they are just going an hour here and an hour there, add in what happened 2 weeks ago when they beat williams in a big game only to come back the very next day and lose to middlebury, to play a double overtime game against a great trinty team tonite and have to go to arguably the nations top team tomorrow, just seems to have a recipe for disaster... it would be interesting to see a bowdoin upset though, i just dont see it happening

Denton

Although Bowdoin was exhausted last night - I expect they will play very well against Amherst.

Nescac33... I guess in you haven't picked up on this little nuance of the board. When you click on a username while logged in, you can see their email address. Now most people put a junk yahoo account or something when they sign up to maintain their anonymity, but you happened to use your school address. So you can see why claiming to not be a Bowdoin student when you actually happen to be one of the members of the basketball team is a bit foolish. Just a heads up to save you any embarrassment down the road. I doubt this would have happened had Bowdoin required SATs for entrance.

On top of that he's nescac33, his jersey number.  BUSTED! lol  ::)

Several years ago, there were several Stevens Point Pointer players playing around on d3hoops.com.  Most of them weren't posting, but just lurking.  Coach Bennett wasn't too happy about it, but let it go.  I hope your coach doesn't punish you for posting.  :D

And I thought I'd get to keep that little secret to myself.  Oh well.

Nice seeing you here, Paul.

Take it easy on Nescac33, he is a good guy and is just trying to get some attention and respect for a good Bowdoin team.  Anyways, great win for Bowdoin last night against Trinity. Judging from the box score it must have been a defensive battle because the shooting percentages for both teams and most players was extremely low.  I agree that a win today for Bowdoin will be very difficult.  I watched Bowdoin when they beat Williams and then came back very sluggish against Middlebury.  I am hoping this trend will not continue against Amherst.  Amherst, at home is obviously favored and will probably win, but a Bowdoin win would shake up the league and place the Polar Bears as the front runners to host the NESCAC tourney.  Im rooting for Bowdoin to pull off one of the school's biggest wins in its history.

Good guy maybe but certainly foolish and at least a little dishonest. Back in the day the truly good players played solely for the joy of playing and not for attention or respect.

So the star athlete getting the headlines and the girl was just a fringe perk of the joyous celebration of basketball before the Internet? Snap out of it.

Wesleyan 80 Tufts 78. Tufts led by as many as 12 throughout the game. Once again Jumbos have a chance to tie or win at the end and can't do it. Looks like the bottom of NESCAC is where they belong. Too much uninspired play and coaching.

broke_ya_ankles

as expected amherst proved to be too much for bowdoin this afternoon winning 85-79

amherst led by 10 with just over a minute to play, bowdoin was able to cut it to just 4 with 12 seconds left but thats as close as they were able to get

eclinchy

Tufts missed ALL of 12 second-half threes.  That's how you lose to Wesleyan.

How long til pitchers and catchers report?  Week and a half?

JeffRookie2

In the stands there was a suspicious individual wearing sweats with 'Bowdoin College BBall, #33' written on them... coach didnt even let you sit with the team?

good job jeffs! RIC will be a very tough test for them on Tuesday.

Fletch leads the way with 26 and 9 for the Jeffs, Olson has 10 points 11 assists, Hopkins, Jones and Baskauskas all in double figures. Bowdoin shoots a higher % from behind the arc than from the field on the night, and I think they hit their last 6 threes to make a laugher seem much closer than it really was. 20+ for Hippert, Jackson, Fleigel in the losing effort

Saw williams continued their free fall with a loss against midd. Chris Rose's shooting %? a sultry 29% (2-7). honestly, the ephs would be doing themselves a service by buring him as far down the bench as possible.

With Conn's loss to bates, everyone but the jeffs has at least two losses. I think you can wrap up the top seed.

Early favorites for POY? I would have said Pierce, but I think thats probably out the window. Should be Stone vs. Olson
