I think Hipp and Martin are both locks.  The only real question is whether one of those teams gets a second guy (Fliegel, Taylor, Sargeantson, Hasiuk).

In my view Ditka should comprise the entire first team.

Maybe a mini-Ditka running the point?

Wrong. Kevin Hopkins should comprise the entire team.

Kevin Hopkins can sneeze with his eyes open.

Old Guy

Having seen all but one of the Middlebury home games, I'd endorse (1) Harris and (2) Smith as well-qualified for inclusion on all-conference teams.

Congrats to Bowdoin on a great run in thr tourney...Mark Phillips (#50) was awesome for Bowdoin.  He stepped up and played well.  Impressive win versus Amherst and a descent effort v. Trinity.

First Team
Olson
Baskukas
Stone
Shalvoy
Pierce

Second Team
Choice
Hippert
Harris
Fliegel
Taylor

Roy=- Ellis
COy- Tim Gilbride
DPOY- Sargentson by a single vote over Westbrooks

I have a very hardtime putting Fliegel in over Smith... Smith is ahead of him in all statistical categories and with Midd getting a 17 point win @ Bowdoin, I'd have to give Smith 2nd team. Smith AND Harris on 2nd Team would look great for Midd, but in the end I think only one may get it.

Denton

I also like the idea of Smith on 2nd  but cant see 2 from Midd.  As for COY I would throw my vote behind Gilbride at BC.  They have gone a lot further than many would have expected.   Brilliant game plan against a much deeper / bigger Amherst.

I'll take a shot (pretty different from my earlier picks but conf. tourney changed a lot):

First:  Olson, Stone, Walters, Pierce, R. Martin
Second: Choice, B. Jones, Hippert, R. Taylor, Shalvoy

Just missing: Baskauskas, Geoghegan, Sargeantson/Fliegel, Rudin/Harris/A. Smith (hard to pick one from that group).  Any of those guys could replace Jones / Hipper / Shalvoy and it would be very fair.

COY gotta go for Ogrodnick.  Finally wins his first conference title (heck the first non Williams / non Amherst conf. tourney winner, period), he deserves it.  Plus he must be close to retirement so in part a lifetime achievement award ...

anyone know what time the all-conference teams are being announced?

Really?  He was probably the 4th best pg in the conference this year.

nescac1

4th best?  For real?  Other than Olson and arguably Rudin, who would be better?  But as I said there are about 12 guys, maybe more, who are fairly interchangeable for the second team, very tough to pick this year, especially when two of the most successful teams (Bowdoin and Midd) had such balanced contributions.

If you miss class the rest of the day and stay at home and keep hitting "refresh" on nescac.com, I bet you'll be the first one to find out.

Seriously though, I was expecting it to be out by now too.
#3 for 3...good!

Hint: He won Player of the Week over championship weekend.

(Not saying Hasiuk is better than Shalvoy, but I'm guessing that's what La Verdad was implying.  Unless he's a really big Chris Wilson fan?  I dunno.)

You got it.  Granted, I'm basing my opinion on the games I've seen personally and the stats from the nescac games.  Seriously, Shalvoy averaged less than 3 assists per game, good enough to tie for 12th best in the conference.

not saying that i think shalvoy should be on there, but in defense of his assists (or lack there of), williams couldn't hit a shot the entire months of january and february.
