After stockton got it down to 2 pts I thought their shot selection was questionable.

Nice white shoes on the Stockton coach!

Two questionable offensive fouls in first half on Williams?

deputy dog

Plattsburgh was ahead 25-21 when Williams left in the first half.

Roberson is a quick 5'9"

deputy dog

Right about Plattsburgh Chippiness. Curle did a great job taking a time out to calm his team down!!

Thanks for the positives for Plattsburgh Host!

FPC,
It's not going to be a jaw-dropping number...

Total Amherst Fans that make the trip to Salem this weekend:

Over / Under 280

This does include parents, siblings, extended family, ex-babysitters, students and alumni.
This does not include the 60ish residents of the city of Salem who have become fond of Amherst's style of play and will be cheering quietly for us from a different section.

This is exactly what happened in Plattsburgh this past weekend (on Saturday night). The demo included more than just the 60ish set (they weren't there on Friday night because of the early-bird specials).
So many of us enjoyed seeing quality team-oriented BB.
Go Jeffs!

Is it my imagination, or is deputy dog schizo?!? It seems like this guy is having six different conversations with himself! Seven straight, one-line posts of the most random format? Somebody calm Sybil down...

I'm really hoping we see a repeat of our sectional down in Salem. Hope and Wash U should beat the heck out of each other. While I think it foolish to underestimate any team who's making the trip to Salem, it sounds like the Jeffs got the best matchup with Ursinus.

Long story short, Amherst heads down there with the most championship experience of any team, and there's no subsitution for it. These guys have been on the national stage before and they know what it's like to hold that championship trophy.

One more time...

Not Schizo, Just responding to the conversation last night on the Hoopsville broadcast. I don't have IM so I was told to post up right here. Sorry for the confusion.

I wasn't with the sixty set but really appreciated the Lord Jeffs style of ball. They were a terrifc "team". You have a fabulous point guard with unlimited range. (And I mean unlimited.) He threw up a few shots from waaaaaaaaaayyy down town. #24, #32 and #52 all had terrific shots. The guys off the bench did an outstandng job. Last off all your post player #44 was a good compliment to the rest of the players. I didn't see a lot of inside play because Amherst was so good at bombing away from the perimeter in the first half. In the second half they spread the floor and made great decisions every time Richard Stockton made a run at them.

Simply put Amherst is a wonderful team with very smart players and coaches!! I am totally impressed and would be shocked in they didn't make it back to the final game. After that it sounds like Hope or Wash U will be formidable opponents. Good luck to the Lord Jeffs. I am rooting for our side of the country!!!!

Ahh, that's what that is.

There's a separate Hoopsville message board. :)

Are there sectional MVP's posted anywhere?

Also, not sure where it was posted by fpc85, but I think Fletcher has a great shot at AA. He has had an outstanding season, and I think the fact that he has not had the chance to put in substantial minutes before this year just speaks more to the overall talent of the players of Amherst and Hixon's coaching ability to retain such great players, even though they have to sit the bench. I think this outstanding season alone warrants some recognition.

Good luck Jeffs, repeat '08! So happy they are headed back to Salem. I think that their odds look really good, so long as they do not overlook a very solid Ursinus team. Give 'em hell!
