Tonight. Just giving the piece we put in this afternoon a little more front page time.

Nicely done, eclinchy.  You kind of make it sound like Jones barely saw the court prior to moving into the starting lineup, but overall I thought it was excellent...not that anyone cares to hear my opinion.

I was wondering who everyone was talking to last night.

Paycheck came on Friday, "personal day" request was granted on Monday, so I get to drive down to Salem to see Amherst live for the first time this year.

I'm very excited to see the guys back at the Final Four.  3 straight years and 4 out of the last 5 is an amazing run...

eclinchy,
nice job, well done.

btw, the plattsburgh people were great.

Thanks for the compliment. Where did you end up staying & which restaurants did you venture into.

eclinchy,
Nice article on Amherst.

eclinchy,
Nice article on Amherst.
I stayed at the days inn, went to the mall, took the kids to the movies before the game on saturday.i didn't eat anywhere special... i wore my amherst gear...people were nice and wished us well...except the drunk brandeis student who saw my shirt and started chanting "f*** amherst" in front of my 9 year old daughter outside the gym...but some locals yelled at them before i did...big respect to the folks up there.

Mr. Ypsi

fpc85,

How in the world did a nice guy like you get stuck in negative karma?  Here's a little something to get you back on track. +k

FPC also went on a hilarious streak of sarcastic posts that were not appreciated by many non-amherst supporters. I think that is what dug the hole he is in now. But you are right Mr. Ypsi, FPC is very nice guy and probably doesn't deserve negative K.

Hahaha

I believe that Amherst has a team that is clearly good and has been dominating this division for sometime now.... however, Olsen does not get his credibilty from his defense and I wasn't calling him "wimpy" because I believe he is the whole key to Amherst's success the past few seasons, basically take him out of the mix no national title..... furthermore the other guards are wimpy and will be exposed by my boy from Urry, and Hopkins who is the biggest wimp of them all (literally) will be shut down by #41..... and when I say shut down I mean he will literally sing R Kelly's remake "Piss on you" to Hopkins as he throws at least one down on his face..... get ready for some nut juice

The Line remains at Amherst +2

Hope once again is going to be the clear favorite because I am NAstradmos and they will win by 6. Then win the national title.... any questions or comments will be unneccesary at this point since this post exceeds the intelligence of any other post on this site

Ugh.  Is it considered poor etiquette on this site to announce "-K" to someone?

Anyway...

Thanks to everyone who liked the article.  Verdad, interesting point about Jones... I didn't mean to make it seem like he was any less of a contributor than Walters/Hopkins... just thought it was worth mentioning that he joined the starting five later than the other two guys did.

The point of the article was to present all three of them as equals (in fact, there's a quote from Walters saying just that).  I apologize if it didn't come across that way.

Had fun doing the article.  All three guys were really nice.  See everyone in Salem...

eclinchy

Wow... Charles Stone completely snubbed for D3hoops All-Region.

Glad to see Olson/Walters/Wholey/Pierce represent the NESCAC.

Yeah, I may have been nitpicking with the Jones thing.  Again, thought it was a great article, but why no love for Goldy?   ???

Glad to see Olson/Walters/Wholey/Pierce represent the NESCAC.

There were 52 nominees from the region and Stone was indeed one of them.

Half of the NESCAC did not cast ballots.

Thanks NESCAC...way to represent.

Hmm, that sounds really negative now that I re-read it.

I should point out that we had record voter turnout this year and surpassed 50% for the first time in a while. On the men's side, 59% of the eligible schools cast a ballot.

(So, one more NESCAC ballot would have put the conference right at average.)
