O.K., people, April 1 - remember we have to keep everyone informed in this 7-month off season!  i'm nervous, with good reason, for the Rutger's/Connecticut game tonight.  My Sixers blew a lead in Cleveland, the Phillies blew a lead in their home opener - this has not been a great week so far :(!  For everything that it's worth, GO Rutger's, GO Sixers, & GO Phils!

Kate-- Just a bad day for a few...Yanks got washed out along with a good part of the college baseball today in the east.

You give a team like Connecticut an inch, they'll take a quarter of a mile!  That was all they needed to win it last night.  Rutger's played an incredible first half, but the intensity of that game wore em down - it was a great game to watch!  Now, for the final four - GO LSU!  It's looking good for the Sixers!  This  is one of the best times of the year - the only better - that third week in November! :)!

kate

O.K., i just want to get this straight - the Freedom gives Arcadia to the Commonwealth, & we pick up Alvernia, Eastern, & Misericordia, right?  That will make for some interesting scheduling.  As always, hurry up November!

kate

How about those Sixers?!  Ya gotta love it!  Hope the Aggies are watching! :)

Well Kate the Sixers won. Was it the basket at that one end ??? or just, well they played harder then Det.

Back in the 1998-99 basketball season, an article in the Morning Call  " Wizard of Waz" all about Del Val's outstanding pure shooting, record setting guard, Jeanne Waznak, prompted my husband & me to attend out first Aggie Women's Basketball game - just to see Jeanne, we said.  Well, we were hooked, & we've been going to the games since that season.  Imagine how thrilled we were today to see Jeanne, her mother, & her adorable baby boy, Nico at A-Day!  How really wonderful it is to see returning members of the Aggie Family!  Congrats, as well, to the softball team - they're in the play-offs!

kate

That had to have been Bridget Golden at that disgusting marathon Phillies loss this afternoon - the Aggie Star center was wearing the Phanatic hat, & she stuck it out through two rain delays, only to see em go down in the ninth - ugh, but it was great to see Bridget!

The local High school had an AAU basketball games all weekend and it was fun to watch. There was one team that had DEL Vall Gals on their shirts. Knowing how big a fan Kate is, I figured that she would like me to get some names for her. Only to find out that they are from Delaware County outside of Phila. not the college.

Sorry Kate

That Delaware Valley is right outside of New York. And I believe the school is the home of the great Scranton graduate Taryn Mellody. (random connection that I thought I'd drop in for)

While I'm not sure about the Delaware Valley in New York, I'm certain that Taryn Mellody isn't from there.

She graduated from the former Bishop O'Hara High School in Scranton.
The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

Hello, Old Ends, & thanks for thinking about me when you saw "Del Val"!  Actually, there are two Delaware Valley High Schools that i know of, one way up on 209 in PA, & the other in Hunterdon County, NJ.  Looking forward to the end of this month when the Aggie schedule usually comes out - we do open this season in Union, NJ with Kean, Baldwin Wallace, & an unknown fourth school.  Hope everyone is having a good spring, & again, thanks for thinking about DVC!

kate

O.K., the fourth school is the Salisbury Sea Gulls.

kate

Del Val has their fall sport's schedules up today.  It's neat to see Alvernia, Eastern, & Misericordia included with that asterisk denoting a MAC game!

(Last time I say something based on memory and without looking it up. Memory isnt where it used to be...  :-[ :D :-X :-[

Yeah the Del Vall I was talking about is in Penn (not NY). but near the NY-Penn border. That's right Del Vall only hosted the tourney where I saw Taryn play as a Junior or Senior... whoops.)
