Good Morning, Old Ends - it's practically a holiday in this household today, & 100% we're behind the Fightin Phils!  By the way, i'm checking the Aggie website three times a day now for the 08-09 roster :)

My computer is crazy this am, (probably doesn't like this cold weather), but here's another Centennial/MAC matchup, Wed., Dec. 17th, Ursinus at DVC.

Am i the only one who checks their school's website three times per day looking for the new roster???  Not only does the DVC site get checked but also a real quick go to of the other MAC Freedom schools.  King's & Misericordia are here, but nobody else.  Gotta go & start the family's kind of nervous pre-game Philly/Tampa Bay routine - just an edgy kind of a day i suppose.

No Kate I check the Centennial as well. Some post them others will wait till a week before games start, as not wanting to offend anyone who does not make the squad.

Found out my cousin is in Tampa and is on his way to the game. Although he is a Boston fan, black sheep side of the family,   HAHAHA :)

Just curious - what scrimmages are coming up?
And, who is picking whom?  Obvious winners this year or parody in the league as usual?

Thank heaven there's just one more Sat. to go before b'ball!  Del Val has a scrimmage with Widener on Nov. 8.  Does anyone out there know if the general public can attend these games?  we've never gone, but in addition to seeing our Aggies, i'd really like to see Alisa D & hopefully her parents there, but i'm not even really sure of the time on the 8th.  Anyone know???  GO PHILLIES!!!

Kate,
As the honored #1 Aggie fan, I would think that the coach/SID would give u the scrimmage info in response to an email.
Looks like Hamels survives getting hit on the pitching fingers while bunting. Go Phils.

Eastern's roster is up with four freshmen.  That makes three MAC Freedom rosters up as of today - Eastern, King's, & Misericordia.   Looking forward to the DVC/Widener scrimmage on Saturday.  Anxious to see Del Val's new people, and of course the returning members  :)  Also, DVC takes on pre-season ranked #4 in Kean University at noon on Nov. 15th.  That game is in Union, NJ

FDU roster up with eight freshmen - a healthy looking roster this season - some coach, either Coach Eineker or the new coach did quite a bit of recruiting.  Alvernia, Del Val, DeSales, Manhattanville, & Wilkes yet to post.  i will be watching!  :D

Messiah's roster up.  http://www.messiah.edu/athletics/sports/womens_basketball/roster/

Looks like a lot of minutes for the starters with only 11 players.

Good Luck Falcons.

kate

Alvernia University is up with a total of 19 people on their roster - nine freshmen!

kate

O.K., check out the DeSales & Wilkes sites, as their new rosters are here!  Just waiting for Del Val & Manhattanville.

About the team rosters, and when they're "officially" posted - many coaches/SID's want to wait until the roster is final - or close to it - before putting it out there. Some schools have "walk ons" trying out for the team - they might get cut, they might make it - or other situations.
At FDU, we've had a long history of 2 sport athletes. If the coach isn't sure that (for example) a field hockey player is going to try to play basketball as well, we'll hold off on putting the roster up until then....

enjoy the season!

Thanks for the explanation, Bill. i just get anxious & excited to see who's going where & if there's anybody we know from around the Lehigh Valley playing for any of the MAC teams (i still check Drew & Scranton's rosters  :-\ - is that kind of sad or what?

First, congratulations to Leigh Ann Burke, senior DeSale's guard for being named pre-season All American, &  lucky DVC, we get to see P.S.A.M. Melissa Beyruti, senior at Kean next Saturday at noon, and  we routinely see Leigh Ann.  Some teams have all the luck :-\  It's certainly an honor.
