Greetings all - first time using a laptop.  Happy, safe Thanksgiving!  Was a little upset with the DeSale's loss last night (i wanted the Aggies to be the first ones to beat em this season  8), but Moravian held on for the win.  BEST luck to the Widener Pride tonight as they take on Neuman!  Should probably be posting this on the Colonial League site, but look out for Marywood this year - you, too, Aggies.  They have several good solid players on that squad.

Kate,

Now if people were enthusiastic about D3 in general they are probably looking at all the threads in the Mid Atlantic Region.  Eventually every league is going to connect with another league somewhere throughout the season.

You maybe right about Marywood.  They reconfigured the North and the South divisions in the CSAC.  Miseri and Alvernia were in the North and they've moved on to the MACF and Baptist Bible, Philly Bible and Keystone are now in the North(and I have no idea about these 3 teams other than last year when they were all around .500).  GMC now moves to the South and they get to play everybody, including Cabrini, this year 2x versus 1x last year and only 1x for everybody in the North.  So that could be a decided advantage for Marywood since they were 0-6 last year against those 3 teams.  8)

Kate:

If your going to Reading have a safe trip on Weds. Alvernia is always tough at home.

Good morning, Old Ends.  Actually we decided to not hit Reading Wed. night just because the town can be tricky to get around especially at night - during the day it can be fun to get lost, but not after dark!  i certainly hope that Alvernia has live stats or  the equivalent - this is an important game - first league outing, first MAC Freedom for "The Vern".  i love calling them that nickname.  We're anxious to see all our new members.  Our first league game to watch will be Manhattanville on Jan. 3.  We're looking for good weather on Sat. as the Aggies take on Lyco in Williamsport.  Beautiful drive, beautiful school.  Tonight i'll be folllowing Marywood at Centennary.  Marywood has two Belvidere High School players, & i'm a BHS grad.

kate

if anyone has an update for the Marywood/Centenary game, please give me the update on here.  i thought that Centenary had live stats - wrong.  Thanks!

Thanks, Old Ends - Centenary sounds like the real deal, but go Marywood!

Kate I went to the Centenary basketball web site and they have a link to the game for free.. you must register and stuff but it is free.

Ugh, thanks for the updates, though - like Mailsy said, "you never know what teams will be crossing paths with other teams".  Wednesday night will be the next time that i'm hanging on this computer. Very anxious for the outcome of the Aggie/Alvernia game.

Nice win tonight for Widener against King's - Congratulations Coach DiBonaventura and the Widener Pride!

Jon

Kate (and others),

I suppose the December calendar means it really is time to wrap up the fall and focus on some hoops.  Sorry to hear you won't be in the PEC for tomorrow's game.  Have no fear, we'll bring it to you live in stats and video, whatever you prefer.  We will have a link on the homepage in time for tip off tomorrow.

I agree with you that the city of Reading isn't the best place to get lost after the sun goes down, but we're actually located in the lovely borough of Kenhorst, so as long as you head East on Lancaster Ave. and don't cross the river you should be able to stop just about anywhere to ask for directions.  We even have one of those newfangled double-drive thru McDonalds open 24/7!

kate

Thanks so much for that info, Jon.  i'm sure that Hubby & i will be heading to Reading next season on a Sat. afternoon.  Who knows, the way the MAC gurus picked the lineup for the season's end, we could be playing you guys in a play-off game.  i truly hope that you enjoy being in the MAC as much as my family & i having loved watching the games over the last 11 years.  The competition is incredible.  Thanks, again!

Messiah wins at Scranton's home court for the first time.  Score tied at half 31-31. The Falcons dominated in the 2nd. Final score 79-62 (I think). Congratulations Falcons on a very good win.

Hey kate - Lyco beat Susquehanna last night, snapping the Crusaders' six-game win streak to start the season.

So when two ex-MACers-turned-Landmarkers play each other (like SU-Juniata this weekend), who do you want to see win?  ;)
