Thanks, Ronk  :D, DeSales just won the MAC Freedom Championship, beating Manhattanville something like 70 - 60.  The game was closer although the Valiants never led i don't believe, but Manhattanville really came to play, that's for sure.  Both teams should be congratulated - BIG crowd & a VERY enthusiastic Valiant cheering contingent - how great is that!?!

kate

Widener in DOUBLE OT: 75/72!  Congratulations on winning the MAC Commonwealth Conference to Alisa & her Widener PRIDE!!!

kate

The absolute VERY BEST luck to our MAC teams in the NCAA's - DeSale's, Widener, & Messiah!  Have fun, play hard & make the MAC, not to mention your schools, PROUD!!!  We'll be at the DeSale's/TCNJ game, & Widener & Messiah, you will constantly be on our minds -You're all the BEST!!!

Major congrats to our Junior representative on the Freedom First Team - All MAC (we know it ain't easy  ;)), Kim Vennera!  Also, i'm sure Widener & Aggie Nations congratulate Commonwealth Coach of the Year, Alisa DiBonaventura!  Congratulations to all the players & the two coaches! We've had a great time following our Aggies this season, & now look forward to watching the Lady Bulldogs in the NCAA's!

I was never very good at math, but how can Kate have 745 posts and then two posts later still have 745?

The number is your current number of posts. When we switched to this board software in 2006 that changed.

Jon, thank you so much for announcing on the Alvernia website the match-ups for the ECAC games scheduled for 7 pm on Wed., the 4th of March.  Good luck to MAC members, Albright @ home vs Juniata; Manhattanville @ home vs Centenary, and Alvernia @ home vs Neumann - GO MAC, & thanks, again, Jon!

Jon

Kate,

You're welcome.  It's always nice to know people are paying attention.  As always, our home game on Wednesday will be on a free webcast live at 7:00 p.m.  Check the Alvernia Home Page for more information.

kate

Manhattanville beat Centenary, Alvernia beat Neumann, however, Juniata clipped Albright in the ECAC games played tonight.  Two out of three MAC teams won - good.

kate

Just read in this mornings Easton Express & the Manhattanville write-up that they won without Olivia playing (class conflict - what's with that  :D), so real good luck to our remaining MAC members the Valiants as they take on Wesley and Alvernia against Juniata on Saturday.  If i read correctly, both games will be in Purchase.  Tomorrow night, for the Lady Bulldogs & for us, is inching ever closer.

kate

Hope i don't jinx em, but so far tonight at least Messiah is ahead!  Go Falcons & Go Pride!  Hiliary was too much for DeSale's earlier, but the Lady Bulldogs played a ferocious game.  TCNJ is darn good.

mytwocents

Unreal night for Messiah. They do not score for the last 4 minutes of the game and win by 35. The Falcons just plain smoked Eastern Conn.  Evidently the unexpected loss to Widener did not sit well. I do not know what the coaching staff did to help bring out this kind of performance but whatever it is please keep it up. :)  Congratulations to Ashley Brooks on scoring her 1000th career point this evening and Katie Kalb for breaking the single season 3 point record.  If the Falcons play with this kind of intensity (especially on "D") Thomas More is in for a battle tomorrow night.  Good Luck Messiah.

kate

Yes, GREAT LUCK MESSIAH is right!  An extremely scrapy Widener team got to within 1 (ONE) point of the University of Rochester, but the Yellow Jackets went on a tear in those last four minutes & won 67/56.  Boy i hope Kean gives em what for tomorrow night!  Meantime, GO FALCONS!
