And to think we were looking forward to last night  >:(!

kate

Sorry for the double here, but thinking about the miserable performances last night by the Phils & the Celtics, i thought there are those professional athletes making huge amounts of money, playing like garbage - so much more we should REALLY cheer on our D3 athletes playing for the love of the game and glory for their schools.

A sincere Happy Father's Day to all the dads here at this site!

With this month 2/3's over, it looks like the Braves are determined to win the National League East, & probably the whole thing for their retiring manager, Bobby Cox.  Boy, i hope i'm very wrong - this week will be a test for the Phils - can they handle Cleveland???

Kate,

As a dad and a Braves fan, I appreciate both of your above posts.
The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

As a dad and a Phils' fan, I appreciate those sentiments, also. I was there for  Bobby Cox's playing debut opening day in RFK stadium in 1968 as the Yankees' replacement for Clete Boyer at 3rd base; unfortunately, for the Yanks, he's been a better manager than a player.
Hope all the golfers got in 54 holes today on the longest day of the year.

Del Val's S.I.D., Matt Levy, does a blog every Tuesday, and today he named Brittney Zimmerman, one of our outstanding guards as the unsung hero female athlete of the year.  No two ways about it, Brit can get around that court - it's hard to believe that she going into her junior year.  Not counting the newcomers, it looks to me that the Aggies should be hitting the court running this Nov.  Who knows what our new talent will bring - the more backup the better in my book.  It's also great to hear from Ronk & Lefty once in awhile, too - good to keep in touch in the off season.  Still say it's probably a good thing i don't live a little closer to DVC - not a stalker, but definitely hounding  ;)

GREAT new picture on the Del Val schedule page with the Brit's, BB, & BZ, & Em!  Thanks, again, Matt!  Good day for the Fightin's, too!  :D

Eastern University has their 10/11 schedule posted!

Misericordia has their 10/11 schedule up!

Happy Fourth of July to everyone at the site - while looking over the D3 Jobs section, i noticed that Bob Ziadie up at King's is advertising for an assistant sport's information director - interesting.

How low  can the Phillies go?  Wait a minute, i don't want to know - pathetic

kate

Phillies - getting better - i hope - back on to the D3 sports topics, DVC's Matt Levy writes a very informative blog each Tues. on the Aggies athletic page.  It really helps keep that Del Val sport's enthusiasm going for us up here in HOT Easton, & it's very much appreciated!

Finally on Facebook  :-\, for whatever it's worth.  It would be fun to tie all the DVC b'ball sports types together - former & current players, coaches, parents of players - there's possibilities - we should band anyway.  Now with those Phils, we just have to look for flashes of brilliance (used to say that when the Aggies were underperforming at times  :)).  Hopefully this heat wave breaks with lots of rain by  Saturday or sooner.

What a way to go into the All-Star Break! :D!
