Hello,Ronk!  Yes, i absolutely DID see that.  Moravian graduated six players, i believe - should be very interesting!

Lycoming has their 2010-11 schedule up.  Really hope to make it down to the DelVal campus tomorrow.  In addition to the football (PAC/MAC challenge) there's a reunion women's basketball game.  It would be fun to see our Aggie "blasts from the past" players.

Was a bit tied up this morning, but got down to DVC immediately following the Alumni '10 Women's basketball game.  Saw Bridget Golden, Jen McCarthy, Alisa DiBonaventura, Kristen (Hank) Henry Dion, Coach Hogan, & several others, sorry, i get excited, so i'm not intentionally trying to exclude anybody.  It made our day!!!  Got an Alumni '10 shirt from Coach John, and with the Aggies winning the football game it was a perfect Del Val day!

Back from a one week trip to the magnificent Smokey Mountains, & i'm happy to report that all 16 MAC teams have 2010/11 schedules posted.  Next month, ROSTERS  :D!  The economy seems to be dictating teams play schools that are relatively close.  We're lucky to have so many D3 schools here on the east coast.

kate

Oh, brother - please make that "Smoky"  :(   Anyway, wish we would have had more time there.

A great article on the main page of the MAC entitled "D3 Working Through An Umbrella Issue".  That's the MAC front page - please read if you get the chance.  Especially enjoyed the part about diversity.

Kate,
  How 'bout those Phils?
Who'd have thunk that simply by switching batting coaches in mid-July that they go off on such a streak to clinch the division? Strangely, I live 3 miles from the high school attended by the deposed coach, Milt Thompson, and I grew up 3 miles from the school of the current coach, Greg Gross.
Here's hoping their success will carry thru the playoffs and world series and that should bring us up to opening day 4 D3 bball.

kate

Howdy, Ronk!  Yes, Everything about the Phils has been incredible this month!  Even their attendance at CBP has been amazing, especially since attendance for the rest of the play-off teams hasn't been so great.  Now, if they can just keep up this pace for the next month, and, like one of the signs said the other night, "I love a parade"  :D!

kate

God, i love those Phils!  Didn't want to say die after being behind 8/2 - came back, partially against Billy Wagner (none better to come back on) to make it 8/7.  BEST LUCK in the post season to one of baseball's greatest teams ever!!!  PS, it would be tremendous if the organization could find a way to keep Jayson Werth!

kate

Perfect  :D Philly night - just wish we could have Wheels, Sarge, & Tom announcing!  Doc is incredible!!!

Hello All!  With practice getting started, just want to wish everyone a great & SAFE month (NO injuries, please!)  Good luck to all the Aggie teams, especially the volleyball & cross country squads as their seasons are winding down.  Especially today, though, my thoughts are with the Delaware Valley College Women's Basketball Team & Coaches.  All good thoughts, too  :)

Took a look at all of the posted schedule's. Surprised by LVC's out of conference schedule. Most of the teams have a below 500 record. With an extremely low strength of schedule last year (240), they were lucky to get an at large bid to the NCAA's. Thier schedule also did not prepare them well for the NCAA's, losing in the 1st round. May have to rely on a conference championship to get an NCAA bid this year. Also, should be interesting to see how losing another assistant coach will affect the team. LVC's assistant from the past two years is now at Manhattanville.

Hoops4lfe,
Like your name - it's my feeling, also. I agree with your thought about the scheduling; they should have 1 or 2 testers to stretch and prepare them. FYI, D3hoops has the St. Mary's game as an out-of region game. Yahoo maps has the distance < 200 miles which makes it a regional game, so would recommend them checking it out with the NCAA distance software for confirmation.
I saw LVC in that NCAA tournament game last year(my school, Scranton, played in the other game that night) and they built a nice lead, but let Medaille hang around and just couldn't finish them off in the end. Looked like a traveling no-call on the game winner for Medaille; wonder what Coach Glochowski thought.
LVC had a very nice team and every one is back; they looked well-coached and I saw the coach on the recruiting trail this spring at an all-star game; knew one player at that game was considering them but she ended up selecting a different school.

Ronk, it's always nice to see your name on our MAC site!  Still miss everyone, although we're enjoying our "new" MAC members - how about Misericordia adding football?!  Del Val's first practice was yesterday (some ECAC rule), so i hope that went well.  As always, looking forward to rosters, & definitely for that first game!!!

kate

It darn well better not come down to this, but ya gotta spell Cody  Ross name backwards.
