Huge congrats to Lebanon Valley!  Elite eight!!!

kate

Great run for Lebanon Valley College!  Congratulations - you made yourselves, your School, and the MAC Very Proud!

Christopher Newport and Illinois Wesleyan - the teams i'm pulling for in the Final Four.  It's been such a depressing week all around, and i miss our AGGIES!  Sure hope everyone's enjoying Spring Break!  Maybe we'll see team people at Del Val's A-Day Weekend.  Looking forward to that.

O.K., Amherst & Washington U in the Final - GO Amherst!

Why pro-Amherst kate?

Good morning, Wydown Blvd.  Washington U has done it before, Amherst is looking for their first title, and, i've been reading all good things about their coach (Amherst), so for those reasons, i say this morning - GO Amherst!  Can not be sure as i sit here at the computer that Amherst has no D3 titles, so a bit of a disclaimer on that.  But in addition to the other reasons, Amherst is, sort of, the "home" team.

Gotcha. You should read a bit about Coach Fahey then too ;)
Makes sense. Go Bears!

Thanks, Kate.  Always like your posts.  Amherst needs all the fans it can get as Wash U has knocked off the host team on the road 3 weeks in a row.  Both great coaches.  Hope it's a great game.

Congratulations to Amherst, and thank you sumfun  :)!  Your team made Washington look mortal tonight - great game!

Congrats to Amherst!
Beating a team of that caliber in the tournament three years in a row is tough. I think WashU ran out of gas (not finishing layups, missing free throws) and it would have taken a perfect game to beat this year's Lord Jeffs. Loved the basketball this weekend. Cheers to D3!

Good morning!  A truly wonderful article on the Del Val front page http://www.delval.edu/ "A Surge in Sports at Del Val by Ed Kracz.  It made my day reading it, especially since we've had the privilege to have observed it happening over the last ten years or so.  All connected DVC participants, players, coaches & staff are doing a tremendous job!

How about just going to Del Val's home page and checking that article - nothing comes up when i just gave that link a try - the author of the article is a sport's writer for the Doylestown Intelligencer.

After following the MAC schools (specifically DVC) going on 15 years now, i'd just like to share what i find particularly neat about each one excluding our own (needs no hype in my opinion  :D).  Albright, the first away game for us & we got an autograph from Coach Rotz now Hogan & Jeanne Waznak; Alvernia, they have Jon as their SID & he's great!;  Arcadia once Beaver, just a school with a lot of class; DeSales, our closest school & we like Coach Richter; Eastern, they have the best live stats & announcer!;  Elizabethtown, do you still have that beautiful indoor track with windows all around?; FDU, you have the nicest posters & you're right down the road from Drew!; Lebanon Valley, our favorite ride thru PA Dutch territory & the most polite students;  Lycoming, boy to stand there in that windowed atrium & eat your half time hotdog - the view of the Mountains - spectacular;  Manhattanville, the CASTLE; Messiah, not charging for any of your activities; Misericordia, nice ride for us, just nine miles above Wilkes Barre; Can't forget King's, great big cool old gym;  Widener, our very own Alisa DiBonaventura, Coach!; and Wilkes, with a poster like CJ, you know you have a Really Great School.  Just to be fair, former MAC schools Drew, beautiful campus so close to NYC & Scranton, Rts.  33, 80, 380, local 307 & left on Mulberry - quick lunch at the Subway  :D!  Missing b'ball season!!!

Hey Kate, that was a great post....I think you're the role model for all forum posters everywhere; always positive, informative, and a real sportsfan for sure !  Can the next baller season come soon enough ?  Well let's get a littlle baseball in our diet first....Yes, I'm a Yankee fan.....But would not mind another Bomber / Philly World Series....By that time the new hoops season will only be weeks away..
