Love your attitude 7express!  Are there any King's fans on this site???  Aren't you excited???  Can't believe no one's posting support, except for a few of us, Sp0rtsfan, myself & a couple of others not related actually to King's, just MAC fans.  I know that Warren is the #1 Lebanon Valley supporter.  Oh those LUCKY people who are actually going to be at those two games tonight!!!  Hope live stats, audio & video are working super well!

At the half, Emmanuel 27 - King's 21.  The Lady Monarchs are missing a ton of free throws!!!

kate

The announcer DID say this game was a lot closer than the final score appears, BUT, the final score Emmanuel 67/King's 56.  King's uncharacteristically missed a ton of free throws and didn't shoot anywhere near their 3-point average.  They did, however, out rebound Emmanuel, and all around they played a spirited contest which was tie 54 apiece with just two minutes left in the game.

Am unable to get any video or live stats out of Mary Washington/Lebanon Valley, so i'm going to watch the Sixers for awhile.

In an incredibly hard-fought game, University of Mary Washington pulled ahead in the last two minutes winning 46/41.  I believe the MAC, both sides, made their mark tonight.

I watched both LVC and Kings Game's yesterday and just wanted to congratulate both teams on excellent seasons.  To be honest I am not sure the better team won in either game. Really impressed with Kings, they play all out pedal to the metal only problem was their shooting. Not sure if it was the weird lighting at Amherst but they shot bricks for most of the game.  I lost count on the number of blown lay-ups. If they could have managed to make 1/3 of the chippies they would have won by 10 points. Their foul shooting also was way off also. Katlin Michaels is one heck of a player that gives 110%; she too suffered from a sub-par shooting performance.  I am sure that is not the norm.

LVC also suffered from some blown lay-ups or it would have been a different story. I believe they were up by 5 will a few minutes to go when Tierney Hiltz missed an uncontested breakaway from a steal.  That was quickly followed by 2 other driving lay-ups that would not drop.
LVC is an excellent team and may have just run into a team of destiny this year in Mary Washington. I wish the Eagles the best of luck in today game. Their "D" is amazing but if they expect to take down George Fox they are going to need to find some more offense to help Jenna McRae.

I agree with Kate that both teams along with Messiah and Misericordia earned a degree of respect for the MAC on the national level. They all were tough outs when they exited.

It should be an exciting next year in the MAC as most all of these teams lose very little to graduation. Again thank you all for a very enjoyable season.

Two Cents, thanks for your kind words about the LVC ladies.

gordonmann

Yep, the LVC ladies represented well.  Coach G keeps finding talented, fast, aggressive point guards. And great showing from the LVC crowd.

Indeed, he does. The Valley is fortunate to have a continuing series of feisty guards with the attributes above and who are not afraid to mix it up on defense or leave a patch or two of knee and elbow skin on the floor while diving for a loose ball.

At the same time, the other positions haven't exactly been chopped liver, either.  ;D

The crowds, especially at home, have been a vital factor in the team's success.

Thanks for love on Misericordia.  We do lose two four-year starters in Christine Marks (1,644) points and Jesse Robinson (1,302) who cominbed for almost 3,000 points.
The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

A day late with this (thanks, Mailsy for your heads up post), but  congratulations to Meghan Nowak, Eastern & Christine Marks, Misericordia, First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region; and Kate Dellinger, Widener, Tierney Hiltz, Lebanon Valley & Dori Gyori, Messiah, Second Team.

Question here, First teamer at DeSale's, Sondrine Glovas, has a sister, Shaye (sp.?) who is a senior at Wilson Area HS here in Easton.  Any word if she will be joining big sister as a Lady Bulldog, or even if she's playing college b'ball.  Also please keep everyone posted, powers that be, on potential new coaches at Elizabethtown & Misericordia.  I'm almost 100% sure that the Aggies of DVC will be in the McDaniel opening tourney in Nov.  Anxious for that one since we've never been to Westminister, MD.

Not much to do in Westminster; my daughter went there for graduate school. Only 1/2 hour from Gettysburg if you want to tour the battlefield.

Hi Ronk - it looks like a magnificent campus, and i just love the drive 78 West morphs into 81, & right after you cross the Susquehanna, there's the Route 15 exit.  Route 15 is amazing right down to the D.C. area (not so great), but of course we'll be exiting long before that.  I'm excited - it's always fun to check out new schools.  Our S.I.D., Matt Levy, is a McDaniel grad.  It was Western Maryland, i believe.  Gives us something to look forward to.  Hope all is well with you.

Congratulations to Lycoming College turning 200 this 2012 year!  We miss you in our Freedom half of the MAC!  On a personal note, we miss the drive through those beautiful mountains to Williamsport!!!
