Major congratulations to Eastern's Meghan Nowak, named 2012 D3hoops Rookie of the Year and Christine Marks of Misericordia named to the Honorable Mention d3 squad!

kate

Huge congratulations to Del Val Senior, Sarah Delcasale, named to the MAC Winter Academic Honor Roll with a duel major of Business  and Chemistry!  We miss her already!!!

kate

Red face here, please make that dual.   :-\   None the less sincere, Sarah!

ronk

Kate,
I was going to ask who won that dual when you corrected yourself. ;)

kate

Good morning, Ronk!  My guess would be chemistry to win that "duel"  :D!  At any rate, we're already missing our four graduating seniors.  Chances are, unless it's at an Aggie A-Day, we might not see them again.  Unless, of course, Del Val would be vying for a league championship, in which case i'd hope everyone would be back in droves.  Coach Hogan is good at organizing alum games as well, so who knows.  The NCAA's are filling the void at the moment - GO South Carolina coached by former Temple Women's coach, Dawn Stahley (sp?).

kate

Was truly hoping that Penn State would have made a better showing today against UConn.  South Carolina, God Bless em, played their collective hearts out last night, but lost to Stanford.   Dawn Staley is one great coach!   It would be great if Duke could beat Stanford - hope everyone's watching these games.  It helps missing our respective teams, but i keep comparing players here with different Aggies!

Kate, you're loyalty to the Aggies continues through thick and thin, unreal !! I hope DeVal awards a personal car-parking space to you for all future home games.

On another note, it will be interesting to see how recruiting efforts work itself out for MAC schools.. And I, too, wish the Royals and Drew were still part of the clan.

Good morning, Sp0rtsfan!  Over the years dear Del Val has given me a beautiful fan-appreciation plaque that hangs proudly in our family room, and countless shirts & sweatshirts that i wear a lot :D - my buddies here in Easton probably think it's my uniform, but everything this school has done for me is sooooo totally appreciated!   As for parking, we try to get there at least a half hour before game time to watch pre-game warm-ups.  We're set!  ;)   Last night's NCAA games, especially that first one between Tenn. & Baylor were sad.  Tennessee wanted to win so badly for their Coach, but they ran into the buzz saws of Odessy Sims & Brittany Griner.  Now, i'm rooting for Baylor i suppose - the team & their coach are growing on me, & Conn. has won so often.   Haven't heard much on the recruiting, but will try to keep posting here when i do.

Also watched last night with great sadness for Pat Summitt, her team and coaching staff, not to mention her son.

Recently read an article, link below, that thought was neat honor for Pat as they mentioned last night that she was the "Coach Wooden" of women's college basketball.  Found out later that she and Coach Wooden were very fond of eachother and met often to share philosophies and stories.  Makes this honor even more special for Pat.

The full write-up was on the front page of D3 hoops, but somehow i missed it.  Checking E'town's women's page, i saw that Sherri Gorman, a 1984 Elizabethtown College grad, has assumed the Head Coaching job of Yvonne Kauffman, E'town's long time head coach.  Congratulations to her!

Will Misericordia retain their interim head coach - also who win tomorrow night, Baylor or Notre Dame?  Baylor's bench came alive last night & that should bode well for the Lady Bears.  Really looking forward to that one!

Pat Coleman

Well, Misericordia's interim head coach is also the AD, so I'm sure he'll be "retained" but probably not as women's basketball coach. :)

With football starting in the fall, I doubt Dave Martin has time to coach a sport considering he's spent the past eight years or so as solely the AD. But it was fortunate they had the expertise in-house to take that team where it was destined to go this year.

I'm pulling for the underdog tonight...Go ND !!..... Wonder if their "D" will go 5 on 4 like Stanford did against Baylor ?

Happy Easter to everyone at the site!   Pretty much just seven more months til OUR season starts - it seems to be going fairly fast already!   Certainly hope everybody on here has a good & meaningful Easter Sunday!

sp0rtsfan

Spending this past Sunday with family and friends was priceless - as good as a buzzer beater when your team wins the game .....

There's a lot of lawn cuttings before the next season starts.....O well...Until then: Go Knicks ! Go Yankees !
