Seven months from today, November 16, 2012, we will hopefully be checking into our hotel in Westminster, MD for the Aggie Opening Tournament at McDaniel!  Widener will be there as well, & right off hand i can't think of the fourth team, except that it's coached by former DeSales player, Rose Katz.   Can Not Wait!!!

All the hotels are already booked for the Westminster Kennel Club, Kate. ;)

And, that's just one reason i miss you Scranton posters, Ronk's pleasant joking civility, Saratoga's, well, his bias posts, and the Drew posters as well.   I'll never forget what a Drew poster was quick to tell me when the split was first made.  I was going on & on, & some of what i said was very mistakenly directed at the student athlete.  He/she  ? came on & said "remember, this decision was not made by the students!"  Why i needed to be reminded of that, but i DID, & i'll NEVER forget it!   Missing Scranton & Drew to this day!

Can't agree more ...Love 'em or hate 'em, I always felt Scranton and Drew were cornerstones of the MAC. They are missed for sure.

The fourth team in our opening tourney at McDaniel is Emory & Henry.  As always, really looking forward to the start of the basketball season.  Especially since the Sixers have all but totally imploded!

Been without my computer all week, so this morning it feels great to have it back & fixed!  Sixers have a chance tonight, at home, to move into the second round.   GOOD LUCK to them!   Certainly hope all is well down there in Aggie land!  Graduation is next Saturday, & again, congratulations to Jackie Shunkwiler, Sarah Delcasale, & Melissa Weil!   Thanks, too, for so many really good basketball memories.

Kate,
We'd appreciate you digging out notice of the new schedules like you did last year. TIA

Hello Ronk!  A quick check of the three leagues, Landmark, MAC Freedom & Commonwealth - only Alisa DiBonaventura Kintner has her Widener team's schedule up.   Will be checking from now on.   How about those Sixers!?!   Boston's won enough - our turn!  ;D

I posted this on the Landmark site, however, just FYI for others who don't frequent there...

The U of S. hosted a successful 1st class award / fund raising event last evening. Bill Raftery was honored and addressed the audince - made everyone laugh showing a great sense of humor.

On a side note,  although not yet officially announced,  you will soon hear that Deanna Klingman is returning to the Lady Royals as Coach Strong's assistant...My opinion has always been that they missed her presence these last few years and lost much of their luster without her.....I expect the Lady Royals to rejoin the ranks of the elite D3 women's programs in the next coming seasons..

Just as we miss our Aggies terribly the same goes for our Sixers right about now.  Anyone who follows the Sixers regularly sees the couple who sits right next to the coaches on the right.  They seldom miss a game along with the gentleman who sits closer to the scorers table.  How dear it was Saturday night to see said couple up in Boston following their team.  Have no idea who they are (other than rabid Sixer's fans), but hopefully someday real soon we'll be following our Aggie team in much the same situation.

In addition to Widener, King's now has their 2012/13 schedule up on their site.  They play U of S and the Aggies early in the season.   Schedules should be popping up fast & furious about now!

Wow, that was quick, Matt Levy just put the DelVal schedule up this afternoon! :)   Had just checked them all this a.m.  Thank you, Matt!!!  The schedule is lookin good!!!

Kate,
Thanks for your effort; using triangulation, I now know one of the Scranton women team's games(Kings) and 2 of the men's games(Kings, Wilkes), since when a women's team has the new schedule, frequently the men's schedule is out, also.

As per the article on our front page of this site, i see that Manhattanville is saying goodbye to Coach Lauren Thomer.  They are looking for a new coach immediately.  Was really wondering if Misericordia would keep their interim coach for another year, as i haven't read anything to the contrary.  Tomorrow - five more months  8-)!!!

Don't like posting double here, but in an effort to leave no team out, Arcadia (Beaver) has their 2012/13 schedule on their site.
