No new schedules up, but i was going over the 12/13 Del Val list, and two interesting OOC games jump out, the first, Eastern Mennonite University on Sat. Dec. 15 at 4 pm, and Cabrini on Monday, Dec. 17 at 7 pm.   We also resume play with Marywood, and these are all home games.  McDaniel doesn't have their new schedule on their site, so i'm not sure who we will be playing on Nov. 16th, but my guess is that we'd be on the court with Widener - we'll soon see!    I'm sure everyone is as horrified over this Penn State mess as i am.   We all have to be so careful with disclosures - just make them would be my rule -  "oh the tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive".  Please hurry up November!!!

I love basketball, however, I love summer and football season as well, so slow down and enjoy what's left of summer 8-) ;D 8-). And then enjoy some exciting football :D :D  :D After that, it's all basketball!

You're right, newcardfan, but this summer's a little different, too darn hot, Phillies implosion, and the PennState mess have combined to make it feel a little less than the best.  I even really look forward to lawn mowing, but our grass is dormant.  Maybe a late summer trip to watch my Phils will help.  As for football, i'm a johnny come lately with DVC.  They've really gotten quite good in the last six years or so.   Basketball, i'm proud to say, that we've stuck with the Aggies through thick & thin.   Also  planning a trip to Maryland for their opening tourney in Nov.  Does that explain my post?  Glad you're having a good summer!

I could tell you're a bball junkie! I love summer, but no trips except to the local six flags. I'm a cubs fan, so i feel your pain-except mine is never ending! Summer in Chicago is  hot, but i'll take it over winter weather. My son will be a senior at North Central this year, so I hope it is another good one. In one monthe, I'll be back at school and in three weeks volleyball stars so I am trying to enjoy every bit of the outdoors as I can.

First, newcardfan, good luck to your son this season at North Central!   Next, Alvernia and Messiah have joined the ranks with schedules up!

No 2012-2013 schedule for FDU yet......As previously suggested, perhaps they're working on getting a game against the Royals  (Ha!) ....Based on my view, expectations for the Devils remains the same as last year. They'll continue to be an aggressive athletic team. Kyra Dayon is the real deal and, even as a forward,  elevates the play of all others...If they can identify a consistent 3 point shooter, and actually play her, they should be able to break the .500 mark and better; 24% for the team doesn't cut it.....My best to all the girls and hope they're having a safe and fun summer...

A special Shout-Out and congratulations to FDU's long time AD, Bill Kilka....Certainly, if you met the man, you'll agree he's a person of class and distinction...

And how is FDU in the Southeast region?

Hello Ronk!  They (the powers that be) also have Muhlenberg College (about 45 miles north of DVC) listed as a "south team" - who knows why these configurations were drawn up.   That's in football.  Anyway the season gets ever closer!

Hello Kate,
Our Phils need a couple of outfielders now that Pence and Victorino have gone; can you still go and get 'em?

We're still in mourning here over Shane's departure.   He was such a huge part of that 2008 team - he grew up with us, we truly miss him.  Well, the new guy in left seems to be working out (terrible, can't think of his name at the moment), and Brown & Mayberry are O.K.   Wish Mayberry could do a little more, though.  We still watch them every single game  :) - fans til we leave this earth, pretty much exactly how we feel about the Aggies!   Good luck to Scranton this season, unless & until we meet them again!  Nice to see your posts on this site once in awhile, Ronk!

Just as i thought, Del Val will face Widener at 8 pm on the 16 of Nov. at McDaniel.   McDaniel will face Emory & Henry at 6 pm at their Opening Tourney.  Should be a good time - looking forward to seeing not only our DVC folks, but also Alisa DiBonaventura Kintner and her Widener team.  Never been to McDaniel either, but it truly looks beautiful.  Just a little over three months!
