Congratulations to Coach Strong and Taryn Mellody for repeating as Freedom Conference Coach of the year and Freedom Conference Player of the Year, respectively. Also, to Allison Matt for being named to the Freedom Conference First Team All-Stars. Could possibly make a case for Matt and Mellody to receive Co-Player of the Year in the conference because although Mellody is the leading scorer and offensive threat, Matt is what makes the lady royals run game in and game out, doing whatever it takes to make them win, whether it be scoring, defense, giving the ball to the open player (most of the time Mellody). They are really a dominating 1-2 combination in the backcourt and I can't wait to see them tear up the post-season, both in the conference and nationally. Congratulations to all the rest of the Freedom Conference as well and good luck to the rest of the teams in the post-season!!....

Congrats to ALL the members of this seasons All-Conference teams. As for tonights matchups...DVC needs to prove they can get it done & on the road...Desales is playing pretty decent ball right now & waiting. No gimmicks here...up & down the court they go...and Desales by 10. Kings has already found out they can not run with Scranton, so I expect Kings to pull their playbook from their meeting with Messiah out & suck the life out of the 30 second clock & slow this game down big time. I can see them using as much clock as possible especially if they get even a slim lead...just to try & frustrate the Lady Royals. The key for Scranton...mix up the D...as in press, 3/4 traps, tough man & 1/2 court press so Kings can't just dictate the offensive flow of the game. In a straight up game, Scranton is 17 better...in a gimmick game...just win & get them out of the way.

I don't believe we care much about regular-season championships. There are automatic bids, and that's all we really care about.

Scranton was on the front page in November, not for losing.

I also know how to spell "know" and "hear" and "not" and "peace" -- but then again, I'm sober. That helps.

Yes, indeed, that was the lead story of the day. It was not the first time Scranton was on the page in November, though. My statement is still accurate.

I figured you didn't need me to point out the second time because it was readily apparent that you remembered it. The chip on your shoulder is a good sign of that.

Let's be honest -- the MAC Freedom has not been anywhere near as interesting this year as it was in years past. It's just not going to compete as well for the lead story. Scranton played its last Top 25 team in December (unfortunately, when our entire volunteer part-time staff was deployed on Stagg Bowl coverage for D3football.com) and there hasn't been much drama since.

Pat i`m not here to argue with you.I`m just stating facts whenever Scranton loses there up on the board.Pat another thing Taryn Mellody named player of the year in the mac. didn`t see her name up but i did see silva for odac player of the year up.Maybe that got by you to just like everything else Scranton does except when they lose.They`re the number 2 team in the country fo some reason.
