Nice.  The Wilkes women's squad made PSU-Harrisburg on December 16th a double-header.  Thanks for scheduling a trip down to see me here in South Central PA, team. :)  I'll be there!

Keep the faith, Kate...

Believe me, CJ, i NEVER lose faith in my Aggies - as always, just hope that people  STAY HEALTHY and that the bench is HUGE :)!  Absolutely can not wait until the Tip-Off Tourney at Muhlenberg on the l7th of November - also can't wait for previews to start popping up!  As the summer wears on it'd be great to hear from traditional posters with any and all news.

Kate,

I am likewise looking forward to this season. The Lady Royals are loaded again. From last years Final Four team  we return 4 starters and 4 more from the 2nd team. Keep in mind that 2nd team saw considerable action. So I can see another run at the top prize again this year.  As for the rest of the Mac\Freedom. It will be very interesting to see how Kings plays after a dissapointing season under their new coach.  Also, I think Desales will be in the race this season as I beleive they return 4 starters. I was VERY impressed with Leigh Anne Burke and am anxious to see how she has improved.

About the Aggies bench.......Will they have one this year???????

kate

It should be a VERY competitive year for the MAC Women's b'ball!  Fred always gets & keeps good solid players, and we can't rule out Drew (last season :() and FDU, too.  With this gas crunch, i don't get down to DVC NEARLY as often as i'd like (they're probably thrilled :)), but going in to FENCOR's site the other day, i saw a Rebecca Castor as an alum attending DVC.  Also read in our Morning Call that Allentown's Central Catholic's Alyssa Brady was most likely attending Wilkes.  Just as long as our great people, Rachel, Moira, Shannon, Brooke and Kristen Bone are back and healthy we should be ready to roll - who knows, Ashley, Amanda & Michelle will be ready for action as well - GO AGGIES!!!  THE MAC RULES!!!

kate

The WNBA needs a better PR person!  Last night's All-Star game at Madison Square Garden had 6,000 fewer attendees than one held at the Garden in '03.  Furthermore. they were going on about which players did what (all good) in the off season, none of which i'd ever heard.  Just a dream here, but it would be GREAT to have a WNBA team in Philadelphia - Dawn Staley coaching & multiple D3 players from our ton of local D3 colleges.

Lupeve, Never, Ever, too early :)!  Again, anxiously waiting for the Aggie preview!  Very happy that they're opening right up the road at Muhlenberg.

Kate,

Now it is not too early....The Lady Royals begin their season 3 months from today at the Rochester Tournament...............

kate

You beat me to it, Roy, & you're so right - season starts in THREE months - i'm sure most of our MAC schools will be starting on or around the 28th - certainly hope that everyone's back & Healthy!!!!  Good luck in Rochester.   Not sure who will be matched with the Aggies - either the hosts, Muhlenberg, SUNY Cortland, or North Carolina  Wesleyan - we can practically start counting the days :)

kate

This board is so incredibly quiet - at least Connecticut beat Detroit this afternoon to get a game three tomorrow night!  Hope Sacramento beats  the daylights out of L.A. tonight!   Anyone know of any great people coming to their respective schools next    week?  GO Aggies!!!

kate

Sorry for the triple, but there's a lot of talk about quarterbacks in that "other half" of this board, and it reminded me of last season with the Aggies and point guard Shannon was out for several games.  i was the happiest camper ever that we had senior point guard Kate McCarthy come in without missing a beat - it's really about THE TEAM!

kate

O.K., Hype - it's a great term - i'd like to serve some up for the MAC Freedom starting with DeSales, Coach R has their own opening Tourney this season, the Starter's Pub Classic; Drew, new coach, last year with us :(; FDU, will they continue to get better?; King's, will they be better acclimated to their 2nd year coach?; Lyco, their last year in our half of the league; Scranton, is this the BIG year??; and Wilkes, if they have Alyssa Brady from Allentown Central Catholic it should give em a spark.  Finally, my beloved Aggies - what's going on down there?  Great new team members, everyone back & healthy?  Can we have some chatter on here???

kate

It's true, i was still a little upset yesterday over that other sports loss on Sat., but now i'm reminding everyone - 2 months minus a day til the openers!!!  Does practice start on Oct. 15?  GO AGGIES!!!

kate

Warren, yes, can not think about the Lancaster tragedy without crying.   Just read the headline for "Hoops" - not too cool that Drew's new coach left without really doing any-thing.  Especially going to Hamilton where the previous coach left under not the best circumstances.   We will hopefully be hitting Del Val on Saturday for homecoming - certainly wish everyone down there - TEAM & COACHES the very best in practices & scrimmages.  GO AGGIES!!!
