BJ - DSU SID

According to my calculations only Scranton has clinched a playoff spot but King's, DeSales and Delaware Valley all have the opportunity to clinch on Saturday.

King's can clinch with a win or a Drew loss (they play each other, so in other words a King's win).
DeSales can clinch with a win at Lycoming and a Drew loss to King's.
Delaware Valley can also clinch with a win at Scranton and a Drew loss to King's.

Scranton has clinched home court throughout the playoffs as well by virtue of its season sweep over King's, the only team left that can tie them in the loss column.

Enjoy!!

With only a handful of games left the playoffs are not set, but here are my predicitions.

1. Scranton
2. Kings
3. Desales
4. DelVal

A--Scranton beats Dvc
B--Kings beats Desales
C--Scranton beats Kings

Scranton gets the automatic bid, but Kings goes to the big dance as well with a record of 20-7....

Roy: Assuming(just for the sake of conversation), your prediction plays out. One question: What happened at Desales? Now we all know with a break here & there any one of those teams can possibly dethrone Scranton...but, 3 straight losses when many were pointing to the final regular season game at Desales vs. the Lady Royals as the game that would determine the #1 seed...hard to imagine.

Interesting comment in Around the Nation by one of the voters that the royals have a chemistry problem: the potential all-americans can't play with each other. I don't agree on the basis of the 12 games I've seen over the past 2 years, although I haven't seen any yet this year.

saratoga

Ronk: I guess they had great chemestry when they advanced to two Final Fours together plus an Elite 8 game...but, get 2 losses in the regular season at Scranton & people are circling the wagons. The season is just heating up...as are the Lady Royals.

Saratoga---My take on our gamewith Desales--once we were up by 12-15 we went to sleep and they did not.Next Sat if we play our game we are better by 12-15pts. Kings may be different they are on an upswing, but living on threes may eventually be there downfall, Atleast this year.

Ronk--I've seen them 12 times this year and I had noticed a mid-season lethargy. However, what I saw in the Kings game was enough for me to say that we are on track for a good run in the Tourney.  I have really been impressed with the play of freshman Ryan Mooney..her hustle is reminiscent of Kate Dougherty and she has great court sense.

Desales--3 in a row....butlike Saratoga says...on any given night.....

Roy: I was just looking at the two teams with a chance for the 4th. & final playoff spot (Drew & DVC) & it would appear your pick of DVC certainly has the upper-hand. Quite a few things will need to happen for Drew to earn the 4 seed. Assuming(just for arguments sake Kate), that Scranton defeats DVC tomorrow...that will give the Aggies 6 losses. Even if DVC were to lose to Desales on Tues.(loss # 7), & win their final with Lyco. & Drew were to lose against Kings tomorrow(loss # 7) & win their last two vs. FDU @ Drew & Wilkes on the road...by virtue of DVC's 2 wins over Drew in head-to-head, they'd get the 4 seed. The only way I can see Drew getting in is if they sweep (Kings, FDU & Wilkes) & DVC loses 2 of their last 3. The big hurt for Drew may end up to be the OT loss this week @ DVC. It is certainly possible for DVC to lose on the road to both Scranton & Desales, the big question is whether or not the Rangers can win the huge one at home tomorrow against Kings. Should that happen & the Lady Royals defeat DVC tomorrow it could get very interesting.

Roy,
The favorable comparison to Kate is a high standard against which to be measured; I look forward to seeing Ryan Mooney play;Kate and Brian O' Donnell were a pleasure to watch every second of their careers.

Well Kate your Aggies had a chance again today. They were up on Scranton by 16 in the first half and still up by 8 with 4:00 left. At the 43 second mark they were still up by 1 until Taryn Mellodyhit a layup and then Alli Matt hit 3 free throws after defensive stops.

When these teams meet in the 1st round of the playoffs,  I'll take Scranton by 20-25....

I'll comment later on the lack of sportsmanship on the part of DVC later...

kate

Roy, i did not read your post, & second, i'm not an official rep of DVC in any way, but, dam it, that game was won today by YOUR SCRANTON REFS - O.K.?  Now i know why Scranton has an unbeaten record at home, yes they're good, but when any team plays them close, your refs go to work in those last five minutes - my Aggies WON that game

kate

As a matter of fact, i'm so pissed right now - honest to God, if the Aggies had a way to protest that game - it should be done - unbelievable!

Kate---

1.  Were you at the game?

2.  Have you been drinking?

kate

You're damn right i was at that game, and  saw Shannon ONeill mugged right in front of me - & Miss Melody's "lay-up" was a freakin charge.  No i have not been "drinking", but tonight's a different story - don't mind a fair & square loss, but today's was definitely NOT!!!

RoyalGator

Tuff game Kate.  You had Scranton on the ropes, but just could not put them away.  You lost the game on the floor in the 2nd half shooting 4-29 (18%).  If things could not  get even worse, Kings was upset by Drew.  Anyway it sounded like it was a great game here in Gainesville, FL

kate

Just watched your Scranton news - they said "with the help of some beneficial referee calls" - will ALWAYS be suspect of Scranton wins at home - now i know for sure why you guys never brought it home - NEUTRAL SITE!!!
