You can go over the top -- take Garden State Pkwy north into NY and the Tappan Zee bridge across the Hudson. You'd want to take the Hutchinson River Parkway towards Connecticut and get off at one of the last exits in NY.

That's the only one I can think of that avoids NYC itself. I can't imagine there's a great way to take public transportation through NYC for this.

Thanks, Pat.  Not that anyone needs "extra fun" with an Aggie game :), but we're always looking for a little extra as long as we're making the trip!

Follow Pat's lead here. DO NOT take any way through NYC to get there...

I would listen to the traffic report en route - the"other" way to go os to take Route 287 North all the way up over the Tappan Zee, without getting on the Parkway. Thismay be about 15 actual miles longer, but it is sometimes a quicker ride, as there are no tolls, and usually a lot less congestion than the parkway...

Good luck!

Thanks, Bill, that way sounds good, too - we'll let you know.  This is an exciting year for the MAC with the new league configuration, and specifically for DVC who welcomes a new president on August 1.  Just hope this new pres will be as into women's b'ball as Dr. & Mrs Leamer were - they seldom missed a home game.  Is it November yet?

I believe you could also take rt 94 and avoid all the major highways until you have to pick up the thruway over the Tappen Zee.

Route 94 definitely fits the "back road" agenda that we were looking for - thanks!  Let's keep everyone up to date on team rosters.   Also Arcadia will be with us this season, too - it should be a very interesting year!

I mention this here as many from this room will remember him..

The Lady Royals sports family lost a true gentlemen with the passing of Womens Soccer coach JOE BOCHICCHIO. Joe was the soccer coach for nearly 25 years and was truly a nice man. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

A little less than three months - and Counting :)!  Just hope that we all have successful & healthy seasons with these new league configurations.  Was very happy & glad to see Drew on our schedule.  Miss the Aggies & DelVal like crazy - haven't been on campus since A-Day at the end of April - way too long.  Is everyone having a great summer?  A little baseball here - GO PHILLIES!!!

Once again, i'd like to commend Del Val's Sports Information Director, Matt Levy, for having not only the fall schedules on the website, but also the winter schedules as well.  They've been up since the end of July, & believe me, that sets a ton of wheels in motion for attending fans - THANKS, Matt!  How about them PHILS? :)

kate

NO comment about the Phillies, but happy Labor Day to everyone at the site - GO AGGIES!!!

ronk

Kate,
save urself a lot of agony and forget about the Phils. 10000 losses not enough for u? from one who remembers 23 straight losses in '59 or '60 and blowing a 6 1/2 game lead with 10 to go in '64.

Congratulations to former Kings coach Bryan Whitten on being named Head Coach at Mt.St.Mary's. I hope he enjoys a long & successful career there much like the former mens coach at the Mount...Gentleman Jim Phelan. Bow tie is optional.

kate

Very much agree, Saratoga, the best to Coach Whitten.  Also, it's nice to see you on the MAC site.  Really hope you all have a successful & fun year in the Landmark!
