At the Aggie//Ursinus game last night it was so great to see the three graduated members of last year's squad there - Moira Donohue & Family, Brooke Dittmar & Mom, & Shannon O'Neill(who i didn't get to greet).  Everyone looks wonderful!  Almost forgot Coach Richter there scouting - Good to see you, too, Coach!  Merry Christmas to everyone at the site.  The Aggies have a game tomorrow night with Marywood, weather permitting i'm sure.  Next home game, Jan. 3 with Manhattanville.

Kate.

I saw that  Delaware beat Ursinus last night.. congrats on that to the team. I drove from Albany to Maryland today and all they keep saying was 6 - 12 inches of snow starting early Friday morning... looks like were getting just rain this time.

Thanks, Old Ends, Ursinus appeared to be short a player, but it's always great to get the "W"!  Selfishly, i'm hoping that the DVC/Marywood game scheduled for tomorrow night might be postponed for a day game cause of the impending rotten weather.  Never been to Marywood, they have Marielle Thorsen a great player out of Belvidere H.S in Jersey, but above all we ALWAYS want to watch our Aggies!  Those night trips north get a little tricky this time of year.

Old ends,

I had to take a double take on this one.  I didn't realize that Ursinus was playing a D1 team.   :D  But needless to say I looked further and that's Kate's Delaware Valley Aggies that beat Ursinus and not the Blue Hens.  ;D

Sorry old ends it was just in jest.  Didn't mean to offend in any way.  mea culpa  :-[

So much to do, but i'm on here looking at schedules.  Noticed that Scranton at Kean has been postponed. Eight a.m. & still not doing anything in Easton, but it doesn't look real good out there.  i'll be checking all day for any change in the Aggie/Marywood game.  Meantime, will try & get a lot done around the house (yeh, right   ;)), so if that game should be postponed to a day slot we could just take off & go!

Spoke too soon, it's 31 degrees  & snowing lightly in Easton, PA

kate

O.K., the Del Val/Marywood double header has been postponed until tomorrow at noon & two.  It can stop snowing anytime now  >:(  Shoveling out is not always fun

Kate: You're always welcome in Scranton. Since the UofS is no longer on the schedule...Marywood will be a nice addition & very easy to get to from Easton. Your drive home will probably also be much less frustrating. ;)

It breaks my heart to post this, but my traveling buddy decided early that the trek on 80/380 was too tricky this morning to head to Scranton - safe trip DelVal & i hope it results in a win  -  see you all at DVC for Manhattanville on Jan. 3  Please STAY healthy!

kate

Just came in from the grocery, sat down at the computer, to find my Aggies made the trip to Marywood this morning to lose the game 83 to 68 no less.  Saratoga it just goes to show you that there IS parity in the leagues - there's no such thing as a "sure" win anymore.  Our defense is a little suspect at times, but usually the offense takes care of that, but obviously, NOT today.  i tried to warn them about Marielle Thorsen, but with no box score yet, don't know who did the damage for the Pacers.  Here's hoping that we have the offensive weapons  ready for Manhattanville, as they've come out of the gate quite strong.  Again,  Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

kate

After reading the DVC/Marywood recap, i feel terrible - the Aggies blew a fairly substantial lead, caught up, then blew it big time.  Anyway, Happy, Healthy, Winning New Year to the Delaware Valley College Women's basketball team!

Thank you Old Ends, & of course the same to you & everyone on here.  Was just checking to see when the Widener/Scranton game was, & noticed that in the team listings for the mid-atlantic, the Widener nickname is still the Pioneers.  They're the Pride now.  This break has been long enough, glad to be getting back to normal.
