Couldn't agree with you more, Tribehoops!   To that list let's add Lacey DeGraw up at Misericordia (DVC's next opponent), Olivia Nastasi at Manhattanvillle, & Sam Lynam at Wilkes.

Just one non-basketball thought here - WOW, what a day!

You're right Kate - less than two weeks to the Super Bowl!

Did respond on the Colonial States site, but Lefty 2,   the Super Bowl was Not what i  was referring to   ;)

If not the Super bowl it must be Ground hogs day ;D

I agree overall with the day..one can only hope that a new president gets a chance to lead without congressional road blocks.

New president?  Was that today?

I thought Kate was counting down the days to first-ever women's basketball meeting between Delaware Valley and Misericordia.

Del Val just lost in over time to Misericordia 62/58 i believe was the final score.  Can we have Lacey DeGraw?  :-[   It appeared that they had Kim Vennera's # tonight.  She fouled out early in the game with just seven points.  Nice game, however, for freshman, Jackie Shunkwiler.

A little lunch break here - does anyone else worry how this economic downturn will affect our D3 colleges & universities?  In this family we hope that it won't have any long term repercussions, cause we LOVE our b'ball - it makes a long winter go by, sometimes too fast!  On a basketball note, here's hoping that the remainder of this season plays out  with No injuries - GO Del Val!!!

Congratulations to Misericordia's Lacey DeGraw & Manhattanville's Olivia Nastasi  for reaching the 1,000 point mark in their respective games this week.  Was anyone of our posters at the DVC/Miseri game?  Just wondered.

I went to the Del Val/Misericordia game and a walk-a-thon broke out.

Of the 50+ turnovers in the game, I'd guess that nearly 40 of them were of the travelling variety.

It was good to see Lacey DeGraw get her 1,000th point at home - and in a win.

Kate,
There were plenty of hot dogs.

Good Morning, Lefty 2.  A quick glance at our schedule shows me that you guys will be at DVC on Senior Day, Sat. Feb. 21.  i'll be on the look out for ya.  It does appear as though the teams are evenly matched.  We're sorry we missed it, but that trip up 80, 380 gets longer at night somehow.  All bets off the table at play-off time, however.  This season the Aggies are having a little difficulty with a young (three freshman lineup), but everyone's learning & getting used to the fierce MAC competition.  Again, we'll look forward to seeing you & the team on the 21st.  It's VERY good to know you have plenty of hotdogs  ;D

Hope that a large crowd is on hand for Sunday's 2:00 p.m Lady Royals' game. If all goes well, it is quite possible that the game COULD mark Mike Strong's 700th career win. Hopefully, there will be a lot of people in the Long Center on the chance that they could witness some big time basketball history. There is no snow in the forecast, the Lady Royals are starting to click into a higher gear, and--because it is Sportmanship Day--all kids under 18 will be admitted free. All of these factors ought to encourage attendance.

Although some posters are distraught over the so-called "off" year the Lady Royals are experiencing, this is all relative. The Lady Royals have spoiled people with their phenomenal success. Remember, this is a  sophomore-driven team that is improving weekly. In fact, I will go out on a limb and predict that Scranton will reach 20 wins before this season is through--and about a million teams would love to have a "down" year like that.

Ya gotta love em - yes, we all remember the really competitive days we fought the Lady Royals.  They should be able to handle Merchant Marine tomorrow  & Drew on Sunday (just cause Drew is former MAC as well, i hope they just don't roll over cause of the hoopla that i know will go on at the Long Center!)  Heck, we were at the game at DeSale's when Coach Strong won his 600th, & the place was like a zoo.

Looking at the Schedule seems Muhlenberg will be at Alvernia tonight then Alvernia, weather permitting, plays DelVal. I would love to see Ms Chilli in action she is a Freshman and having a great year so far. Hopefully the her and the rest of the team can wear them out for DelVal. Get that home win and split the series.

Sound good Kate
