An unbelievable night in the Commonwealth Conference as the Dutchmen came back in the final minute to beat Albright, and an absolute shocker at Messiah as Widener held them off to win. Yes, Mid Range J, congratulations is right  , & how amazing is it that both Men's & Women's teams are competing for the Freedom Championship.  Have a safe trip to Center Valley Saturday morning, & we'll be there to watch at least the women's game.  i'm still on a Widener Pride high!

Hey There Kate...Been reading your posts for awhile now and hoping you could give me some insight on former Acadia head coach Shannon Howley. She now coaches the Elmira team which I follow, and I am trying to acertain just how good a coach she may be. I was very disappointed in what I saw this first year,but am willing to see how she recruites. Any response from former players would be great!!

Good morning Sotier, and yes, Lefty, there do not appear to be any Arcadia posters.  When Ms. Howley was at Arcadia, she was making a real attempt to turn the program into a winning one.  She does appear to be a career coach - does she have family in Elmira?  She also always seemed to me to be all business, very serious about her job.  They're just my observations.  Maybe your post, Sotier, & Lefty's comment will spark some interest with Arcadia fans.  Meantime, best luck to Elmira.  Is anyone else on here as excited as i am for tomorrow?

Oh Boy, this can't be good - i really like all four teams in our MAC Conference finals.  Naturally, i'm pulling for DeSale's cause they're practically like Del Val's sister team, but certainly nothing against Manhattanville - that wild rebounding machine  , by the way Valiant fans, i love your gym & got the chills walking around your campus thinking that members of the Kennedy family had walked those same paths (around the castle).  What can i say about Widener with our Aggie All-American, Alisa DiBonaventura as their coach?  By the same token, Warren, we were so at home in Annville for our opening tourney there four years ago.  The students were so helpful, & the facility is amazing.  Again, i just hope whichever two teams emerge victorious tomorrow that they go into the NCAA Tourney ready to do the MAC proud!
